Steep sucks

I think steep would have been a wayyy better game if it was more realistic like the physics and everything. It just feels too fake and really isn't fun to play.

making that game seem realistic is pretty easy by just going slower and picking lines that aren't retarded. just because you can go 400 feet doesn't mean you have to. I loved riding pillow lines and shit when I played the beta.


and it's not like snow or shredsauce (I still love shredsauce) has better physics so I don't see what you're even trying to compare it to.

I think it's pretty sick. I'd suggest trying to get used to using the right stick well...I have a ton of fun exploring and trying to ski ""realistically"" with sick turns and lines and cliff drops. And you don't have to throw triples off 500 footers, you can do some sick rodeo 7 blunts and shit

And no, it's not, it's gone way downhill (no pun intended) since Malcolm released it a few years ago.

Steep has the potential to be great, especially in slopestyle-heavy DLCs like the one that was just released, but at $30, fuuuuck that shit. If they were releasing banging content like smaller slopestyle parks instead of entirely new mountains, they could charge $5 a pop and the downloads would be lit. However the DLC, like the game, will ultimately be a bust because of corporate greed.

It stagnated and was completely unplayable for a little while but it's back up with new updates. It's never going to be a perfectly polished game with AAA graphics. It does have the controls, physics and community creating levels and grabs which I think are way more important.

Hey man I'm sorry, I hope my comment didn't come off as offensive. Shredsauce.com had been unplayable for so long on my mac until I just tried again right now and holy shit its completely different! There's sound fx now?! And crashes?! My night just got booked solid. Thank you for creating this game Malcolm, I've logged so many fucking hours over the years

Check out some videos on youtube. I've seen a few reviews from people who had early access to the entire DLC, which is going to include an entire map the size of the alps. There's going to be a new grinding mechanic and some really cool 2018 olympics parks, and the graphics are updated to look a lot better. Not to mention, theres some really cool japan powder type riding. They have also updated their trick mechanics, or so i've heard.

Downside: the dlc will cost $30

why? the alps map region is huge and has plenty of stuff to do, and wasn't alaska free?

idk i don't really pay attention, just turn it on and explore sometimes, but i dont feel like anything is unfinished about it

the alps is big but after 10 hours of playing the game you kninda realise that it just feels copied and pasted. the only things left in the alps thst r fun is the red bull challenges and matterhorn. as for alaska most of it is just the alps all over again. as far as the town (and rails) go, they r fun. the town has alot of different lines and ways to hit different features, however the rails r very glitchy and the physics on them just dont work. doing a switch up is nearly impossable, and not to mention they dont even have 270s or switch ups or any rail tricks in the game so even if u do them it still wont call them correctly. in the olympic pack these things are mostly fixed. why they didnt bring the physics from the olympic pack into alaska and the alps idk but thqts just how i feel from my 40+ hrs of playing it. not saying its not a fun game. i wouldnt have that many hrs in it if it wasnt, it just needs some tlc

Yeah the whole mountain looks pretty damn cool- especially the competition slopestyle park and the MASSIVE top to bottom park on another mountain face that I discovered while exploring the mountain (although unridable, you can zoom around the whole map and see what's what).

I was just bummed at the lack of available terrain in the beta, as well as lack of skiing, and of course, the $30 price tag. However as far as I know, this is the first beta release for a DLC in modern gaming? Which is pretty cool, props to Ubisoft for at least releasing SOMETHING.

Haha that's my thing. I know that ubisoft is going to get my 30 bucks because I know i'll play it that much.. I agree though, I wish there was more skiing in the beta. The only thing you can do is just one race and thats it. unless im missing something
