Is the Rode VideoMicro Compact On-Camera Microphone any good??
I'm new to the Ski Film game but not new to cameras. Also any tips on how to film follow cam in park?

speedyswapper34its good... not the best value for money.i would steer you in . different direction though, I have the takstar sgc-598 which is a very cheap mic and has great reviews as a budget mic comparable to the rode video mic pro (not better by any means). It is good enough sound quality for skiing and i get usable rail grinding audio when doing windy follow cams. For a 40$ setup the mic with neewer windscreen will be good enough for most. I can send you some videos with audio shot with this mic if you want.

eheathLook into a rode videomic pro. If thats too expensive, get the rode videomic go.
