Goggles under or over helmet?

I've been aggressively riding park for 2 years now and I've rocked my goggles under my helmet and had the ear pads off. My friend however has been riding park the same amount of time I've had but he rocks his goggles over with the ear pads off, when I tell him wear your goggles under and take the pads off he rants to me and says how gay it is to rock goggles under and how no one does it and how you look like a gaper with them under. The truth is every park rider rocks goggles under, it just looks more steezy. What are your guys opinions?

peterkskisHonestly I go with the goggles under when I feel like a park rat but if i'm ripping around the mountain with occasional laps then I have goggles over This is mostly because it looks strange carving or going in the woods with park style.

How does it look strange?

I used to wear them under, but converted to over. Straps hurt my ears too much. I see riders of all abilities wearing them both ways, so I don't care anymore. I'm just going to wear them the way that feels comfortable to me.

I think that rocking your goggles under your helmet looks clean if you know how to do it. But I don't wanna see them ears, that shit nasty.

for real though kinda annoying how everyone is hating on OP for wanting to know what people think is cool. Freeskiing is such a judgey ass sport and rolling up to the park and feeling like you don't fit in SUCKS. Yeah, once you are good nobody cares what you wear, and you shouldn't either, but when you're young, and relatively new to park, this shit feels like a big deal.

it doesn't matter if you ski well.

I like under, because I've done it for so long, anything else feels dumb. I'm happy to admit that under the helmet is pretty much all vanity, oh well. Over the helmet is functionally better... helps keep helmet in place, and allows for putting gogs up to cool off w/out foggin up. I'll do it on a pow day, when I'm working hard.

People saying stuff like “why do you care what people think” and “who cares if you ski well it doesn’t matter” but if you see a guy with a goggle gap or who just looks stupid in general, let’s be honest we laugh at that guy with our friends

I think it looks cooler to have goggles under. Maybe I am doing it wrong but it always seems to hurt my ears, and after about an hour the strap seems to fall down, and then I get a gap.... I just put it over the helmet, its more comfortable, and at the end of the day I don't give 2 fucks about how I look, its ALL about how I ski.
