Replying to Goggles under or over helmet?

I've been aggressively riding park for 2 years now and I've rocked my goggles under my helmet and had the ear pads off. My friend however has been riding park the same amount of time I've had but he rocks his goggles over with the ear pads off, when I tell him wear your goggles under and take the pads off he rants to me and says how gay it is to rock goggles under and how no one does it and how you look like a gaper with them under. The truth is every park rider rocks goggles under, it just looks more steezy. What are your guys opinions?
