Replying to DRIVING IN TAHOE - PLEASE HELP

My sister and I will go coming from San Francisco to heavenly or squaw either Sunday march 5th or Monday the 6th and she's concerned about the driving. We would Be driving a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse.. any advice?? Where are the bad passes and how bad are they? Are there resorts that are easier to get to than others? Otherwise we will take a shuttle bus, but if we drive we could ski more and have more freedom.. any recommendations on shuttles or the situation as a whole?

Also, is there a place we could possibly stay for a night or two? I'm sure we could reimburse you with something of value
