A. It's a brand literally born on NS.

B. They make an amazingly manufactured product. That is durable, and relevant.

C. They make that product themselves.

D. They have great customer service.

High quality skis, good customer service, a great team, etc.

i like full/mostly camber noodles more then stiffer rockered skis so not my cup of tea but definitely a legit company

Not for me or at least the ones I've tried but I haven't spent much time on them. however the seem like a sick company.

DURABILITY

They are really just a company I look up to that is just an all around amazing company run by amazing people with great hearts and a great story that produce great skis! Been following their story since the days of their start so it's kind of just an awesome little company that started in the sickest way possible!

I think it would be much simpler to tell the OP a legitimate reason why you wouldn't love On3p. It might take a while for someone to come up with an actual complaint.

Punishers - lasted 2 seasons
Chronics - snapped on the first week of the second season (and now they want $625 for the new chronics? Fuck Line.)
Filthy Riches - I am on my third season with them and they have yet to get any major damage.

The reason people love them is because they truly are durable, and very unique. You just have to cop a pair and you will understand. I just don't like how they have jacked up the starting prices for their new skis. They are pretty damn expensive, but they are justified in charging what they do. Anyway, if you have 600+ to blow on planks in the first place, get ON3Ps. They will last. Don't get no inflated cap-construction bullshit from Line.

People of course have complaints. We're far from perfect. We do our best to build skis as well as we can, respond quickly, and treat everyone with respect/fairness, but we are a tiny company with a lot of overworked people doing their best to cover the a huge scope of things, so trust me when I say not everyone is a fan. Can't please everyone but just trying to get better everyday.

For what it is worth, a Magnus this year was $629 shipped. $629 was MAP. MSRP is quite a bit higher. Same price as a Filthy Rich was in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 - $599 + $30 shipping - ($579 in 2015). Our prices haven't changed all that much.

We compete with brands that outsource their skis at 1/2 (literally) our cost and with basically 0 overheard. Our skis are not cheap to make and we have our own factory, a huge expenses year round. I have no qualms in saying that our skis are underpriced and would be hundreds higher if we operated on the margins other indies who outsource do.

Obviously there is an underlying financial goal in any business, but skis are our top priority, not money. Based upon the skis some other brands are putting out, it is pretty clear that priority is flipped.

I haven't been able to rationalize getting new park skis in 5 years because my filthies wont break, and skiing 40 days a year all of which are in the park and almost exclusively rails, this isn't a problem I had anticipated

It might be worth noting too that ON3P skis never show up on ebay, or even my local classifieds (KSL) here in SLC. I know it isn't an exact measurement of customer satisfaction, but I also don't think that it isn't worth noting. People hold on to these skis.

I would love to try a pair cause they seem like a super solid ski but the exchange rate makes them super expensive for us north of the border. That's my only gripe with them. And the fact that there is just so much love for them that they are the first ski people recommend in gear talk but I'm sure it's probably justified if they are just that high quality of a ski.

For the shapes they have, these skis kickass.

I met some of the guys at a demo stop a few years ago and they were awesome. Helped me try out some sticks and we even took a few laps later in the day. I was hyped and they were hyped and it was a good day.

Yeah, the skis are really good. Are they the best? I don't know how you measure that. It doesn't matter; Anyone can make a good ski. ON3P has some real genuine people reppin them which you don't see everyday and that's why I'll always support em.

I have beat the shit out of my kartel 98's over like 90 days in the last two seasons and they are just starting to show wear. One edge crack and peeling topsheet. Any other ski would have exploded by now.

been rocking ON3P for 6 seasons. even when I was hooked up by someone else for free, I found myself still using my ON3P's after the others broke.

jus copped a pair of Kartel 98 at the beginning of this season. A lot different from what i am used to but i already like them more than any other ski ive ridden. early rise on the tip is supa nice. ive smashed them into rails more days than not and they have one or two edge cracks but less than i have had in the past at this point in the year. major selling point for me was the durability and they're bomber

^ couldn't be more true. I live in Singapore but study in the UK. The UK taxes a crazy amount (20%) of all goods that's entering from a non-EU country. ON3P shipped my skis to Singapore, where I was still expecting to pay tax (albeit less) but I didn't have to owing to ON3P's fantastic financial maneuvering. Couldn't have been happier, and they also threw in some extra stickers just because I asked.

Because they're sick tittys! My Kartel 98's were my favourite ski I've ever skied. I can't think of another ski that can ski pow, crud, slush, bumps, steeps, tech lines and then go and slide rails and hit jumps as well as the Kartels. Also I skied about 250 days on them and they were still holding up pretty good by the end. I've just bought a pair of candide 2.0's which are sick but i think i'll go back to the kartels after.
Yep, you can probably get a cheaper ski but I don't mind paying a bit more for a ski that I love to play on and that will last longer!

Because everyone who owns them loves them and they let everyone else know. 10/10 brand.

One could say they are so durable they are almost overbuilt, just like their first ski presses they made lol... They've been keeping that attribute from the start, if your gonna do something, do it with your whole heart and to the best extent you can, not ripping people off with quality ever

I've had a pair of Jeffrey factor blemishes for 5 seasons (never found the actual blemish). I'm honestly just bored of them but can't rationalize buying a new pair because there's nothing wrong with them.

Well what you could say is wrong with them is that they are no longer as fun because of how many days you've road on em? Buy a new pair of something else just for the variety is how to rationalize it because then it is not nearly as boring either :D

I got my first pair of ON3P's back in 2011 - the original FR and the original Jeffery. From the second I took them out of the wrapper I knew I wasn't going to ride a different brand again. The construction is insanely precise and the durability is ridiculously good (it was my job to ski park 100+ days a year - my ON3Ps always outlast my seasons, I think my current pair of FRs have almost 200 days on them.) The only reason I ever got new pairs was because I was trying to find the right size FRs and cause I wanted newer versions of skis (i.e. Presters and Kartels), never because the skis wore out.

The one negative thread that I have seen about on3p resulted in the OP getting absolutely shit on, search the Jake Doan callout if you want a good laugh.

Honestly, I feel like the biggest idiot. I fucked up and purchased a set of Revision Bodrums (back in August 2016 - this was when Revision had a good rep, before all the shit went down) after reading reviews and other info. Just wanted to see how they rode.

Legit like a few weeks later I was looking at some on3p's and was like damn I should have got these instead, but couldn't do much because I'd already purchased a set of Revisions. Fast forward almost 8 months later, I'm still waiting for my Revisions to arrive.

^When on3p is offering to do things like this, really shows that they are about more than just money. So much respect that.

I'll be 110% buying a set of skis off you guys in the VERY near future.

I was in Portland over the summer and stopped by their headquarters and factory for a tour. It was easy to tell that everyone in there is dedicated to making the best skis possible and it definitely shows on every pair of ON3P skis I've ridden

Moment Skis. I literally just walked in on a Tuesday afternoon and I got to tour the factory with some friends while in Reno. You could see the pizza and red bull they were having for lunch in the littler break room when we walked in. Made me open my eyes how hard it is to build skis, and what goes into hand making them. It takes a lot of process to put them together. You could tell they take pride in making skis, and live the skiing lifestyle. Im sure ON3P is really similar, never toured there but it sounds like the same experience.

Hey Ryan,

Thanks for the post. Obviously hate to see you had such a negative experience, but I feel that for the sake of complete transparency, the facts should be posted here.

Fact #1: You bought a year old pair of used demo skis, already mounted, from a dealer. These were 2013 Filthy Rich in 176cm.

Fact #2: The skis broke along the old mounting holes, holes that were about 3-4" exposed behind the current bindings. If you want to break skis fast, that is a good way to do it. This is not a manufacturing defect and honestly, the skis should have never left the shop mounted as such. Do note, both skis broke in the same crash in the exact same spot, right along the old mounting holes from the demo mount.

Fact #3: While the issue was long lasting with the shop, ON3P was not made aware until right at the end of the situation by you directly. We received no communication from the shop that there was an issue (likely because our warranty policy is very clear and known to our dealers).

Fact #4: The first time we received photos of the damage was 12/10/14. Note - this was the only email correspondence that occurred. Before that, communication had been primarily directed by you an employee here - who in your words was a "friend of a friend" who repeatedly told you #1) he is not the one to talk to and 2) to call the factory and basically stop harassing him. You can come at me all you want, but bothering my employees repeatedly after being asked not to and to talk to me directly is not a way to get in my good graces.

Fact #5: I responded on 12/12/14, stating the following:
1) These are skis bought used, so there is no warranty.
2) Warranty coverage is extended to manufacturing defects, not skis breaking on holes that are exposed outside the bindings.
3) The shop who sold these year old, used demo skis should have well known they come with no warranty AND would not be warranty for a break related to mounting holes outside the binding mount.

Fact #6: You emailed back on 12/13/14 stating:
"He looked at the skis when I brought them in and told me they would be warrantied and I would get a pair in the mail soon. I never heard back from him and called you. You told me you were unaware of the situation. The shop then closed for the summer and none of my emails or calls were returned. So this year when the *shopname* opened back up I just got my skis back and here I am now. so yes I was told more than once they were under warranty. I realize that this is a issue I’m going to have take up with the *shopname*. Thanks for helping so far. Ill let you know if there is anything you can do further."

Obviously I cannot be responsible for responding to emails and phone calls sent to one of our shops.

Fact #7: I emailed back 12/14/14 stating:
"Keep us in the loop with where things are at. Hopefully something can get worked out soon. Thanks!"

During that time, I talked with the shop at state our position firmly that we felt resolution needed to be handled by the shop themselves. No ski company should be asked to warranty a used demo ski that broke because of a poor mounting decision.

Fact #8: You DID get the skis replaced by the shop - but the process of getting that finally done by the shop, as I was told, was that you went in during a busy weekend and yelled at the shop owner on their sales floor, in front of a bunch of customers, until you broke him down to the point that he said screw it and gave you a new pair of skis just to get you out the door.

Do note - these were 2 years newer skis - the 2015 model.

Fact 9: By 12/27/14, the skis were up for sale on NS and ebay.

Fact 10: By 12/30/14, the skis were sold. So from the first contract with me by email and a new pair being sold, you went 20 days.

I cannot recall calling to bitch you out, but given both you and your friend were calling and harassing my employee, that you were extremely difficult to deal with the whole time, that I went to bat against one of our dealers asking them to make the situation right, and that resolution finally occurred by you literally going on their sales floor yelling at the owner, only to turn around and dump the skis, sounds like something I would do.

If you don't like how the skied, that is fine. We appreciate the honest critique of our product. Your frustration with the shop, who I think we all can agree should have handled the situation better, is fine. The way you acted and the way you are presenting the situation here does not match the experience on our end, so as much as I hate getting into the posts, because there is really no way I can do so without looking petty, I am going to defend my brand and the way we handled the situation.

If you getting a new pair of skis within 20 days of my involvement, which did include me spending my time to push the shop to replace the skis on their end, skis that we were not responsible for replacing at all...then yes, we have the worst customer service out there. We are a small company and do not have a dedicated CS team or even employee - it is handled by committee while most of us spend every minute we can building skis.

Often times people on here say we are just hype, and there is NO doubt that we are one of the most hyped brands on here. But you can't stay hyped for almost a decade without backing the hype up with good product that matches the hype. Our marketing program is likely one of the smallest and most underfunded in skiing. Our money goes into our skis and our factory. The idea that our limited marketing program is enough to drive a decade of hype suggests that we are best marketing team of all time, which I can assure you we are not.

Ryan, I know this post will likely just inflame the situation for you, but I can't sit back and not respond when I feel what we did was more than fair.

I hope you have better experiences with skis going forward and wish you the best. Thanks.
