DIRTYBUBBLEIf you can land it on an airbag, you can definitely land it on snow
SofaKingSickwas the airbag jump too small?
other than those things being too small sometimes, they should perfectly mirror doing a trick on snow. some you can even stomp and ride out on
pmcon_20I think what happened while trying corks on it was that I would open up and try to spot where my real landing would be on a real jump and the airbag would take me by surprise. Does this sound right? Thanks everyone!
SofaKingSickif im hearing you right, it sounds like the jump ( => the hangtime) is smaller than you'd like
BUT i have to say when i first threw cork 7s on an airbag, i kept getting stuck at 5. key for me was throwing it less like a flip plus a spin (like you can with a 5/underflip) and more like a 7 that you dip your shoulder into
....plus the jump was small
ringing any bells?
SEABURNit seems like you're looking to us for reassurance. Like any trick, visualize and execute. Confidence is key. The airbag got you starting the trick, and familiar with the feeling, go finish it. You got this, COMMIT.
pmcon_20Ok sick, next time I go out and there's a big enough jump I'll commit and do it.
pmcon_20I'm not sure if I'm flipping more than spinning because I'm going more sideways than d spin but I think the airbag just really felt a little smaller than I would have liked it. I think I'd be fine trying it on snow because i was at 630 but what do u think?
SofaKingSicki think if you feel you have it you got it. sounds stupid but it's actually the best rule of thumb there is in skiing...if you can actually visualize it you prob have it.
and yeah, some tricks are harder on small jumps. id say compromise and wait for a soft day or a pow day and send it on a jump you like
pmcon_20I live in Ohio so there aren't many pow days although of this we have a lot of slushy days right now. I think as long as there is a big enough jump I could pull it off and it's probably the best time to do it here.
