benharrington_He was in the right for sure, if he hadn't seen him he wouldve ran right into him
-emile-why is no one adressing the fact that he could have avoided the kid and hit the jump if he was even half of a decent skier.
idiot.

Sam_CaliffHe'll be looking both ways cuz he learned a lesson
SteveSteppThat being said, its obvious that the little kid clearly didnt know anything about park etiquette and certainly wasnt capable of understanding the complexities of a jump line or the dangers he may have posed to Jann. Its unfair to say that the little kid should have known, and its also unfair to say Jann was justified in shoving him.
Jann's first reaction should not have been to hit the kid. Scream at him, scream at his parents, give him and earful, scare him.... any of those would have been better options to vent your frustrations.
SkierBetchCould've been such a great teaching opportunity to let the kid know why he was doing something dangerous.
Honestly the way those kinda kids are I'd doubt they'd listen. I told a kid to get off the lip of the jump and he screamed that he had 128 days on his pass. Like I care. The only way they learn is if one of their friends or themselves gets busted up bad. Then they stay out of the park. I also like the sound of a park pass btw
cannonballerIf you are referring to the young child in this clip....then your lesson will be coming soon. Because that's how Karma works.
Sam_CaliffDoes anyone know how old this 'little kid' is anyway. By the way people are talking about it, this some five year old who has been skiing for about five minutes in his whole life. that could be the case who knows. he could also be twelve or some shit which in that case he's a dumbass and should be able to figure out on the lift ride up not to get in a skiers way. And everyone is talking about him being a gaper and not knowing park etiquette. But if you ski just regular runs at all than you should know that it is still hella dangerous to cut in front of someone. the only difference of cutting someone off on a run and in park is that there is like a 3% chance the park skier will push you over. the gaper learned his lesson though and either he'll never come back to park or when he does he'll be more careful. the park skier was a little aggressive and what not but the gaper wasn't even going that fast and slide down a tiny ass slope. I wouldn't do what the park skier did but ppl are making such a big fucking deal over it.
cannonballer5 year olds and 12 year olds are both little kids. The only people who don't know that, are 12 year olds. So if that's you, consider this a lesson (that problem won't sink in for another 6-8 years).
Sam_Califfeven if you consider 5 year olds and 12 year olds 'little kids', any age from 8 to 12 should be able to figure out the most basic of skiing etiquette which is to be aware. to know who is uphill and who is downhill from you. and nah man, i ain't 12. But good guess though
cannonballerWell put. So I guess we're in agreement that Jann should have been able to figure out the most basic of skiing etiquette which is to be aware. to know who is uphill and who is downhill from him.
freeballerHad I saw that, I would have ended that dude's season when I caught him at the bottom.

mr.tibblesWhat a chicken shit park rat. That was a little kid. That's in south park at mammoth, so was probably some socal tool. I'm way too happy when I ski to ever get this mad over something so harmless.
DominatorJacquesEveryone starts from the same square. Show the Grommets respect and teach them respectfully.
If you are that bitchin', then you can have a positive influence on them by being nice about it.
Here is to the Groms!
This kid be 10 years old. He knows his stuff for real. I'm sure he had to learn it though, but not by some ass hole.
