Heading out to summit county in a month and was wondering if I should ski Keystone or A basin. I realize that A51 is tight af. But what I'm really wondering is what has the better actual skiing an terraind. Anything helps.
Yeah they both have their pros and cons. You're going to have to get to a basin pretty early since they have limited parking, but that also means only a few people can be skiing there. On a normal weekend, abasin will be much less crowded then keystone, but keystone is much bigger so the lifts will be similar. Keystone has surprisingly decent terrain if you know where to go, but abasin it is much easier to find the goods. Keystone does have a51 as you stated and that is 👌🏽
Keystone is only good for park and has some decent trees a bunch of shit is roped off though. Arapahoe is bomb for anything but park if you're an expert ski off Pali or hike the east wall both are super dope.
