Why isnt RMU gaining more popularity?

As the title states, why isnt Rocky Mountain Underground gaining more popularity?
Dont say the prices of their skis or something is too high when the price of RMU skis and especially the Rippah, is far lower then that of faction which everyone seems to be riding.

They've also got two dope skiers, Ben Smith and Ethan Swadburg who are on their team and riding for the brand. They also apparently now part of the elusive Level 1 Crew, as stated by freeskier.com http://freeskier.com/videos/the-level-1-crew-took-over-aspen-buttermilk-after-it-closed-for-the-season

So what are your thoughts on the brand? why dont we see more people riding them?

haha yeah I just saw that thread, didnt see it before i posted this though. Interesting, glad i read through that tetongravity forum, seems like theyre a bunch of little bitches

I never believe anything in TGR. Most of those guys are bitches. That being said...... The ski is nothing to write home about. I have skied most of the lineup and can say that there are plenty of other skis that are just as good if not better. The company seems to be more into the summit co vibe and not about the actual ski. Who you have on your team and such has absolutely zero impact on whether or not I buy a ski.

I have a pair of Rippahs as my main park ski and they ride fine but they never make go wow what a great ski. On the other hand their bigger skis fucking suck compared to the competition. Spending a day on north shores was ass compared to pretty much any other skis like it.

I personally feel that they are charging premium prices for a not so premium product. The flex is not progressive and feels like all or nothing, with the core not really moving and the tip and tail bent like crazy. Also feel like they'll last two seconds

I don't dissagree...mob mentality and circle Jerks is pretty prominent....but it's not like we don't have those there

The problem with RMU is they don't build enough skis that are durable. Also just straight poplar in the rippah is a no go. I can't ski a ski that rebounds like a spring. Need something on the damp side
