Stop making excuses for yourself and just do it. There are very few "suggestions" for hitting a small box besides just telling yourself that you're gonna do it and then commiting to it. You got this

Lol, I feel ya man, but honestly there's no need to post this but since you did here's two things that helped my confidence while I watched 13 year olds hitting backflips off little kickers:

1. Wear knee pads, elbow pads. Not because you're actually gonna hurt yourself hitting boxes, but it gives you more confidence that you're not gonna fuck up your knee on an embarrassing little fall. Also, if your gear is baggy enough no one can even tell. I wore them for a bit and honestly never even need them, but helped me hit bigger things.

2. Go early in the AM, on the weekdays when no one is around. No one is around to "judge" you, not that anyone cares anyways. Go slow, who cares if you stop midway on a box and have to step off it. If a tree falls in a forest and no one hears...

Just go for it. don't be afraid of the ground or other people. the worst you'll get is a nasty bruise, but when you finally nail that trick or new rail the feeling is way more worth it.

This might sound kind of weird but watching people do it is a really effective way of coaching yourself. Pay attention to their speed and angle of takeoff really carefully. Where are their eyes, what are they doing with their hands at the lip. Keep an eye on the details and logically break it down into pieces, visualize what you are going to do and then do it. Skiing is the easiest shit in the world with the absence of fear.

Idk about this I think it depends on the fall you took and how it happened. I fucked up my shoulder this year on a fluke injury. Just caught an edge on an easy flat down. I was definitely a little rattled when i started hitting rails again a few weeks later. I do agree though, that if you fall on a feature and don't get hurt, even if its a bad fall, you now have a feel for what it feels like on that rail, or off the jump or whatever, helping you get it right the next time.

Basically dude, you're gonna fall, it might hurt, it might not, but its fun as fuck and there's nothing better than stomping a trick you've struggled to learn.

Climbing onto a box and letting yourself slide down slowly is a great way to get used to the feeling of sliding.

It's all about progression. Work your way up from easier stuff. You could try hitting the dance floor box as if it were the regular box. Come at it to the side and hit it with more and more speed. The jump to the regular box won't seem so bad.

Work on sliding down the snow without any edging at all. I am fairly new to shreddin on park features. if you edge on a big box its not the end of the world but once on skinnier boxes and rails it seems to be way more crucial. Get sliding down that "dance floor" to a science! once you've got it move to a skinnier box and then a rail etc... You can do it!

Best advice I got was low gorilla stance, feet shoulder width apart, lean slightly forward. The low gorilla stance made it feel like I wouldn't fall very far or very fast.

I went at my first rail really low which was more stable and when I did fall I didn't get hurt at all so my confidence went up and I stomped it on my second try.
