Safety Glasses Trend?

Is it just at my local resort (Camp Fortune, Quebec), or are people actually starting to wear safety glasses instead of goggles or glasses? No offence, it look fucking stupid. Now idc what you wear, go ahead if you think it's sick, I just don't like it.

I've seen a person or two in my day. Would not call it a trend....... Yet.
I love those chrome pilot looking goggles with the circle lenses. They are OG.

Wow I thought this was gonna be a guy who saw my tonight at my hill Mt st Louies in Ontario and gave me props for them, came back from Hamilton with like 5 from a factory job and figured they'd be perfect since I usually don't wear any eye stuff night skiing, just did it Tuesday and now tonight, I hope it starts a trend they are awesome for night skiing. I knew I couldn't be the only one to think of this, and I swear I saw a goofball like Andy Perry or LJ wear em in an edit somewhere.. yes and of course I look like a dork or something but I am a pretty weird person, Just uploaded a picture check it out!

I don't think clear is that great for nights, I like some tint to see the snow better. I don't know why you would leave your hundred dollar goggles in the car so you can rock a five dollar pair of safety glasses.

I wear safety glasses about 50% of the time i'm night skiing. They are cheap and effective so idgaf

Today the snow turned to freezing rain and couldn't see shit... Probably gonna bring them to the mountain tomorrow. Nice to be able to wipe them down and not give a shit about scratching.

Like many people have said, they are great for night skiing and warm overcast days. I don't like wind in my eyes. I lost mine a while back, in search of some new ones.

I hate wearing goggles ill only wear them if its really cold or snowing. They block peripheral vision to much. Sometimes i will wear sunglasses if its really sunny and warm. Safety glasses are perfect for rainy days. Preferably i like to ski with nothing over my eyes. I hated on the safety glasses trend last year but its a damn practical trend.

You can see 120% better with safety glasses than goggles and they are way cheaper.

Yea one of my friends either wears lab goggles, safety goggles, or nothing. I don't even think he owns ski goggles lmao

Op doesn't care what people wear so much that he made a thread to let us know about it. My goggle sunglasses combo was game changing. Safety glasses seem simple and effective.

shit, thats how much they cost now? ive had a pair for 3 or 4 years, use em for mountain biking and general partying/when i dont want to wear my nicer shades. They're the ducks nuts.

I use pit viper style Oakley heritage eyeshades. 10/10 recommend.

Safety doesn't always go with beauty hand in hand. But it's necessary to be cautious. Though my computer glasses are quite stylish and they provide safety as well. I don't know, it depends on the model I guess.

I've warn them before working day staff at the mountain. Forgot my goggles and was snowing, grabbed some safety goggles from the shop and let er rip. Also rocked one of those shields at least once too.

If it works fuck it, also cheap as shit.

It looked like the aerials people were rocking safety glasses. So if you're wearing them to be cool, that's some serious bonus points.

Any time I tried wearing something that wasn't goggles the wind would just get caught up between them and my eyes and dry them out instantly. Just use clear goggle lenses.
