Rum_HamMy 2 ski quiver is 182 pb&j and 184 Bibby pro and I couldn't be happier. If you love the pb&j you'll love the Bibby.
hot.pocketThe 98 and 108 you're talking about will be the Commander. Still playing around with the shapes and chambers, but most likely front rocker, traditional camber and a rocketed / flat tail. Fairly stiff. No tour option as of now. The wildcat is something different but you'll have to wait for the preview site for that.

We finally have the flex, sidecut and camber dialed on the 108 Commander.
Aspen/Ash full length wood stringer core. Triax fiberglass, Carbon stringers and two almost full length sheets of Titanal (read: Tit/Anal) per ski. -8cm recommended mount or -1 / -2cm back for more directional charging.
These things are beasts that have a slightly playful side.

jdadourThese sound freaking rad! May not need my Wren 108s anymore. Does the Tit Anal fade off at the tips to reduce swing weight or go the entire length? What weights are you hitting on the 188 length? I also am ready to place an order ASAP
link80So the Titanal isn't full width or full length because we wanted to keep it inside the ski due to the semi-cap design. It is the ski shape just shrunk down a few %.
We will have final weights soon but its slightly on the heavier side of say a Tahoe 106 187cm...and we wanted it that way to help with its charge-ability.

BondyHey kinda of a random question what do you giuys think of the bibby? Considering buying it, looking for a really fun charger
PowPiratethe ski has a cult following and for good reason, i love mine. 'blister gear review' is the place to go for any info on the bibby though.yah I was trying to find that review and for some odd reason I couldn’t. Do you think you could send me the link?

PowPirateyeah sure. here's all the post were they've 'tagged' the ski:
http://blistergearreview.com/tag/moment-bibby-pro
they changed it up a few years ago and it caused uproar. the old/present/future ski (wildcat) came back in the form of the 'blister pro' so read the views on that:
http://blistergearreview.com/gear-reviews/moment-blister-pro
if you still have questions after i'll happily give you my view on it. think there's a thread like 1 under this about them as well, worth a read.
BondyThanks man really appreciate that so the turned the wildcat back to the og 2011 bibby? Or is the wildcat exactly the same as this years bibby? And what’s the difference between this years current bibby pro and the blister pro?

PowPirateno worries, i'll do my best to try and explain. maybe one of the moment dudes in the thread can chip in were i get it wrong.
OG bibby up until 13 i think? then they fattened it up and made it a more 'jibby pow ski' (think it had something to do with losing the night train (a big fat high 120 low 130 maybe waisted ski)) they introduced the 'governor' at the same time to feel the hole left by the changes made to the bibby. the governor was/is narrower, more directional, stiff less playful (it was like bibbys second pro model) the season before it was introduced they made a bibby special in a 196 which was basically a governor prototype.
blister and a lot of their readers spear headed a campaign to bring back the old bibby. Luke and the moment dude made blister their very own ski (limited numbers) to keep them happy. basically the OG bibby with a blister graphic and minor tweaks to construction. everyone's happy
maybe a year after that moment decide to change the bibby back to the OG shape (were we stand today) (everyone's really happy)
next year moment are renaming the bibby 'the wildcat' but keeping the shape/construction the same
amongst all that they all introduced the 'exit world' which i think was the bibby tour (or pretty close to it)
help?
BondyThanks so much man so you could say the wildcat is just a fatter more jib orientated blister pro?
hot.pocketEmail info@momentskis.com with your idea and we can discuss the project.

MothaHuckerWould be dope if you replaced the vice with a wise promodel. Maybe a little more consumer centric than the skis he actually rides on, but I think they would sell. The skis he was on in the pipe look unreal!

tcurleHis ski would not be fun, and he's said that haha. I still ski a very stiff 192 charger (M1) and comparably his skis really do not bend. I think full camber skis are for a fairly narrow market of comp skiers.
tcurleThe Bibby had two years where it got fatter as said above, and then it shrunk down to its original model. It is confusing, the Bibby, Blister Pro, and Wildcat are all the same ski. The Bibby is a signature in our line that is getting a name change and a different graphic for this upcoming year and will now be called the Wildcat. We also like to do a Blister collab as a cool thing to do with them. However, it's all the same ski.

I think full camber skis are for a fairly narrow market of comp skiers. That said we're working on some new park designs. Maybe we'll use a variation of that graphic but on a fun ski in the future. Our park skis will probably continue to have some rocker, to make them more consumer friendly as you suggested for sure.
BondyYour making the wildcats 2cm fatter though right?
Mr_pretzelHow would you compare the new commander 108 to your M1s?
tcurleMy M1's are 192, a bit longer than the Commander in length, but also with effective edge because they have a fuck ton of camber. They also have very little sidecut so it's kind of hard to compare directly, but the way they feel when you're going really fast or when you stomp a cliff is the same. They're very stable at high speeds but the camber profile allows them to be more forgiving and playful. The M1 is not forgiving or playful. Most people would hate riding the M1 but this ski is going to be attainable for most high end skiers for sure. It's more versatile and fun.
Mr_pretzelCool, thanks for the comparison.
Could you also compare the commander to the new deathwish?
Rum_Hamwill governors be available next season? really wishing i picked up a pair of 186s

Chrisc70@hot.pocket
Do you think that having some Commander 108s and a pair of Governors would be overlap? I have trips to the Chugach and BC planed for next winter so really want a wider ski for those days, but have been skiing on 106 wide boards in Tahoe last few years and feel I don't need more width unless it's really nuking (like it's been this month). I don't jib or butter so these two models are very appealing to me. Thoughts?
hot.pocketThe Governor and Commander would create a nice collab between the two, riding the Commander for most days and saving the Governor for the deep pow days. The Governor is slightly softer and has a little more tip taper, so it'll handle the deep pow better than the Commander without switching to a completely different styled ski.
TahoesemilocalAre the skis on Chris whatfords instagram stories the past couple days the new park skis for next year?no that’s last years vice

ucberzerkeleyWhat's word on the skinny Bibby Tour?
hot.pocketThey are last season's Vice, the yellow / black version was the year before that.
We haven't even started designing it yet, but plan on testing it all Spring to (hopefully) release it alongside all the other 2019 models.
ucberzerkeleyWoot! Plz don't go wider than 108!

Chrisc70One more question -- what would you say if I wanted to consider the new Wildcat instead of the Governor? Given all the positive reviews about this ski I don't want to miss anything, but not sure I need a ski with such a rocker profile? Many say you can ski the Wildcat as a directional ski, but I'm still leaning towards the Governor, but can be convinced otherwise. Any guidance?

tcurleThe Gov and the Commander are a good combo. You can ski fast and hit big shit on the Wildcat and the Governor, but for me it comes down to tail rocker. Wildcat is forgiving and can shut down earlier. The Governor however will catch you if you land backseat, but as a result is more of a beast to ski.
Bondywhat about the commander 108 and the bibby? the commander being for firm days. Question about the commander, is it fun?
HoaxerBellumHow does the commander compare to the pb&j?
tcurleThat's my current set up. I have other skis too but most of my time is now between the Commander and the Bibby. They're incredibly fun.
vcolsherlockAt the risk of beating a dead horse, I am looking at both of these skis, but need to pick just one.
What conditions do you find yourself using each? Do you swap them out pretty consistently depending on the snow? Or do you find is one of them your go to 90+% of the time and you get the other one out for specific conditions? Thanks in advance
tcurleCommander for everyday (not park), and Wildcat/Bibby for any pow day or soft snow days after a storm.
