Does anyone have any home made hacks to keep cameras from losing their battery power in the cold. Im gonna be doing some filming this weekend and the shot might take a while to get. It will be on a tripod maybe like a bag with hand warmers? I have no clue

what I do is wear a pair of pants under my snow pants like sweatpants or pajama pants. Get a couple extra batteries and keep them in your sweat pant pocket. It works pretty well

sometimes i stick those little foot warmers on my phone/camera on really cold days. Actually works quite well. make sure you get the FOOT warmers cause they have adhesive so you can stick right on your camera.

great tips in this thread. For my backpack I toss a few handwarmers in both the camera section and the battery section to keep those reasonably warm. Try to limit how much your camera pack is open to not let the warm air escape too much. For when I just have my camera on me and no pack I keep extra batteries in the most insulated, closest to my body pockets I have. Wait until cold dead batteries warm to room temperature before recharging, instantly charging cold batteries can decrease their lifespan
