Make boots less stiff

Yes there are ways to soften you ski boots, but they are usually permanent and no going back. Depending on how you flex the boot, there are certain portions of the cuff and/or shell that can be cut away or ground down to soften it up. But I would definitely discuss things with your boot-fitter because he/she will see how you are flexing the boot and where to appropriately make the cuts/grinds and because of the risk of ruining your boots. If you don't know how to do this, have the boot-fitter do it because then the fault will be with him if he wrecks your boots.

Easy solution don't buy stiff boots… plenty of companies make touring boot between 70-110 flex.

When I told the bootfitter I was riding a tongue 10 on my fultilts he said i'd be fine with that. I'm also getting back from knee surgery, and realized the best thing for the knee is soft equipement since it'll forgive.

The boots are really great for charging turns and have an agressive stance in powder. but when there is little snow its a little more rough.
