Did a front 4 on my last run of the day. First clean one all day. At the beginning of this season I couldn't even do a front 2. Also have back 2s down.

so this year ive been trying to push myself. trying to spin off of rails are just mainly tryna look steezy doing anything. This is a tough task being 6'1" and 245lbs as the slams are tough for me with all this inertia but i still try to hit the send button.

Here is a simple rail clip. main goals for this season are both 2's off coming in switch and lip on with both feet first.

A the beginning of this season I had trouble hitting basic rails, and living in the east coast in this shitty winter we are having I was able to learn 2's out both ways, lip ons, lip on blind 2s, front 4's, I got a few kfeds, I attempted some cork 3's but next year is gonna be the year I am gonna try to flip and expand my jump and air tricks

At the beginning of this season I couldn't even front 2. Just today I learned how to kfed and it felt awesome. I was mad stoked and even tried some 450 outs on a cannon tube, nearly landed it but not quite. Skiing park is definitely the greatest thing I ever decided to do.

forgot to keep this thread alive for a bit there, but keep the updates coming cuz the spring is the best time to learn new shit. I just poached a mountain near me and hiked all day with a couple homies. Filmed a bit and almost every shot in it is a new trick. Ill post it in here when its uploaded since I haven't done much for posting

Always feels good to move up like that. Started skating a week ago and didn't even have ollies or drop into bowls. The ollies are still coming but I can drop in now which feels good. If you don't feel like you are seeing progress just make sure to get some film of you now, then end of next season do the same and watch both to see the progress.

Here's my first attempt at trying a 450 out, couldn't stick it but I'll land it tomorrow or something. First season ever skiing park and it's definitely the most fun I've ever had.

Landed my first 360 last season. It was terribly ugly, but I'm pretty happy how I've progressed this season. I can land em cleanly very consistently now.

This has been a SICK season for me. I started in January of 2016 so it's my first full season of skiing. I went from never having skied a drop to stomping a ~20 foot cliff and being able to keep up with my friends, albeit not always very stylishly. Also learned to hit straight rails with fair consistency. I worked at a ski shop so I was able to afford getting a backcountry setup that I only got to use once :/

that 2nd video just made me so relaxed. I think you could progress in swerve skiing if you can already do some of it with slalom skis. Pick up some center mounted noodles with some nice rocker and let the new tricks flow.

Super K back to you! I do have two pair of Salomon 1080 Space Frame's! The second pair is just waiting for the first to wear out and I would need to remount at least the heal.
Thought..........maybe I could try a center mount! They are quite flexy so I can turn the crap out of those.

I also hit hit my first DFD, got comfortable doing disasters on flat downs, laced a few 2s into tubes, got all 4 360s and landed 1 549. This season has been amazing you guys.

no reason not to right? If you are feeling it you could find some skis that are on the wider side. They feel so different than skinny skis when you are swerving around its crazy. Give it a try if you have enough interest. I highly recommend it.

There's a lot of progression threads but this had a lot so posting here. I read something today with ways to improve your mindset to benefit growth.

One really good one is: add "yet" to the end of "can't" sentences.

In other words, keep pushing and don't give up. This could apply very well to park skiing or skiing in general as there's a lot of shit that beginners see and are like damn how tf do they do that, I can't even slide a box. Everyone starts somewhere. Everyone has been there. Practice practice practice and persistence. Embrace the crashes and pain as lessons to learn from. Talk with others. Ask for feedback and tips. Watch videos and learn from others better than you. You'll get there eventually. Don't be self-conscious and fuck all the haters.

I'm an ass park skier, but in terms of the general mountain, it's crazy to think trails I once though were impossible are now so easy they're almost not even worth my time lol. So nice to be able to reflect on your own progression in that way.

With covid-19, use it as an opportunity to practice on the tramps, and home setups, and get in better fitness for next year.
