dadiColorado sucks. Everyone is mean. (Unless you're a cute college aged boy)
jfxphotoLmao don't listen to these people.
XtRemE11If you want to be real close to denver, look at the golden area, nice area that doesnt feel like youre in a big city, awesome mountain biking around there.
Boulder sucks
Ft Collins is awesome, some of the best mountain biking on the front range, really cool town, my favorite lake/reservoir on the front range is basically 5 mins from town. close to some really good backcountry stuff around cameron pass. and since i70 traffic is the worst traffic on the fucking planet, you can avoid that and just drive to steamboat.
Greeley really isnt a bad area, gets a lot of shit but i spent a day there recently and its a decent town, really cheap rent.
Lyons/longmont, great mtb riding, cool area, can be close to boulder without having to live in boulder.
estes park, you're basically in RMNP, endless climbing, hiking, backcountry skiing, whatever. a little out of the way from most stuff though, touristy in the summer.
TrabekAnything under 1200 a month for rent
Would rather live alone, have a cat. Might move out there with a friend as well.
TheDoughAbidesAt that price point you wont be living alone unless youre wayyy outta town. I lived alone in LoHi a couple years back (prices have gone up since then) and i was spending a little more than 2k a month for a one bedroom.

NinskasiThis is actually a great guide to go by. Fort Collins and Greeley are a brutal drive to the mountains though. I live in Winter Park, but went to school up in Fort Collins and would come up to see my family and the 2 hour drive killed me!! But Fort Collins is an amazing town. Rent is going to be kind of high because it is a college town.
Boulder is a one mans trash another mans treasure kind of town. It is expensive and filled with trustafarians, but you get a good mix of being close to the city and the mountains. Its expensive though.
Summit county is going to to be really hard to find housing in, but you'll be closer to most of the mountains.

TrabekGod damn dude. Doesn't cost close to 2k a month is Jersey for a one bedroom.. And Jersey is stupid expensive to live in. I don't mind being out of town, I'd rather be in the boonies than in a city. Mountain towns are where id like to be, just harder to find a decent job.
ZennanDo you know which area has the better/closer BC skiing? Boulder/Longmont area or Golden/West Denver area?

the_moderaperCurrently live in Glendale. Its pretty mediocre but the dispensaries stay open till midnight instead of 7pm like everywhere else. The cherry creek trail is nearby giving me a short bike ride to downtown.
This fall Im thinking im going to get a new job in Golden and live there. Its a nice town that doesnt feel like a city and it right in the foothills of the mountains. Red rocks is right there too. Theres the new W line for their lightrail system which makes downtown denver 20 minutes and 10$ away if you want to party.
Also, feel free to hmu if you're looking for a roommate. I've got two friends who want to go in on a house with me, but they still have to graduate and find jobs so its very up in the air. Im out of school and comfortably established.

NEPTRsummit, unless you want to deal with hours of driving and traffic I'd steer clear of the major cities! go to a mountain town
RICK_ROSSsummit unless you want any sort of social life or job that pays more then $10 an hour.
dadiCome to summit if you only want to ski. No friends, no money, nothing but ski.
TrabekBeen thinking about it, I have two friends living in Breck right now.
joeybootswhat kind of pot do u smoke? is living close by a good dispensary important to u?
