and yes, skiiers have always talked shit to each other. Look at the game of gnar, it's pretty much based off of calling people out and doing things on skis that would offend people.

As said in a previous thread, no matter the poster or question, i think trying to answer the question legitamentlly shows a respect for skiing and this community, something that people like mcNoche might not have

I think if you take small stuff like people being rude to be funny or cool, personally, you're gonna have a bad time. I don't think most of the things said are things that anybody would freely say in public.

Growing up in the skiing community, especially the freeride/freestyle world for me meant being assholes to your friends and understanding that we were just joking around. That is what most of the members see each other as, friends, with a few cases of actual dislike, of course. A lot of them know each other in person and hang out or see each other often, it's just kinda standard.

I've never met any of these folks in person, I have a feeling most of them would be pretty stand up people.

RVL8RidaSo, I have been on this forum for a pretty long time. I have always disliked the way forum members put each other down when people ask questions.

My question is. do the kids on this forum talk the same way they type their responses?
it's pretty rare that I pass kids in the park saying "just send it you pussy" or "stop being a little bitch and drop" or "shut the fuck up you clown"

I'm wondering if the kids on the forum just like to put on a facade to act cool, or maybe because if you talk like a dick it makes you better at skiing.

I'm so excited for the responses I might get to this thread, but I'm hoping people don't act in real life the way they do on this forum.

The skiing community in the real world is fucking amazing. I could share tons of stories about the good vibes. Just sitting at the top of a jump line joking around and sharing tips...

You just joined this website after it became popular enough for the trolls form 4chan to make accounts here and ruin the experience for everyone. than everyone left... I would wager that the people that you are referring to don't even ski on a regular basis.

I think most people comment like that for some comedic purpose. Whenever I see outlandish comments, I usually take it as a joke, and move on.
