First flip on skis

i can front flip, back flip, misty, cork, and lincoln loop on a trampoline. i think i am probably capable of doing a flip on skis, i just have to try and send one. what flip did you guys find easiest on skis?

Hey, I just wanted to say that I can do all the tricks I can do on a tramp and my first was a backflip. It was a lot easier than I thought is was going to be. If you are comfortable with backflips on a tramp, send it. The backflip is the only flip I’ve done on skis so I can’t really say which is easier though. Good luck!

Backflip for sure. You're going with the momentum and a jump with a lot of pop is going to send you that direction already.

Backie for sure. I was in the same boat and sent my first one on a poppy medium sized jump with a slushy landing. commit, pop your hips up, tuck, land. Plenty of vids online to help too. You’ll probs stomp it 2nd or 3rd try

Front flip off a knuckle or cat track is the easiest to commit too because if you mess up its just a somersault. Its harder to actually stomp though because its blind. If you can commit, go for a backie.

Yeah, I just tried to backflip again but didn’t commit and landed on my head.

Backlfips are forsure the way to go. It's an easy transition into learning flat 3s and rodeo 5s. Also a mega crowd pleaser. If you watch someone do a backie, listen closely and you can hear the sound of panties dropping. Fact.

Fronties can be done off tiny things so find a side hit and try it.

Backie on a pow day into some deep then transfer onto some fat wind lips or park hits. Not hard to get if you have them on tramp.

I would for sure send a front flip first. Super easy to just jump out off the jump and come around to your feet. That was my first ever flip on skis.

Not exactly a flip but I was able to put down a flat 5 the other day and I don't even have 360s yet, not sure if I was just being plain stupid trying one but I honestly found it way easier. Never landed a backflip/frontflip/lincoln loop on skis but found flat 5s to be easiest to learn first because you can spot your landing pretty quickly and if you screw up you land on your side most of the time.

I was at Jay Peak and there was enough snow for what I would call more of a front roll. It was not the correct form for a frontflip, I more or less made a huge wedge at the lip of a knuckle, and hucked and prayed. It didn't look great, but it felt amazing, would recommend.
