can you do other flips? if so, lincolns are pretty simple. if you have a trampoline availalbe, practice them there. transferring them from a trampoline to snow is pretty easy if you can already do backflips.

my problem with them is that on tramp i could do it- but the jump threw me back everytime- turning my lincoln into a underflip

if you try op- theres a good chance you will rotate to an underflip if you dont have forward shin pressure- and pop to the side and a bit forward- looking ahead

dont twist your head to try spot you landing or else theres a good chance you will spin too

well said otto first few id end up rotating an landing switch honestly if you throw it slightly forward i found that helpful.. also dont need a poppy jump like when learning b flips..think of it like a video game pushing left or right on the joy stick with some slightly forward too if that makes sense.... get em dialed doing them off drops is gangsta as F

yeah I've been having the same problem with that myself. my friend knows how to do them but his amazing teaching skills didn't really go much farther than "hit the jump, whip your hands to the side of your feet, and stomp it bro". he told me that if you can do a cartwheel you should be able to stomp it no problem. like with most tricks lincoln loops are just mental. for example, i can do a double backflip on a trampoline but i won't land one on skis until i get the balls up to commit 100%(I'm gonna try one this weekend). so just commit 100%, and you should be good. not gonna lie though it'd be really fucking nice if people could post some vids on youtube for the tricks that are actually difficult haha.

IMO backflips are a lot easier than Lincoln loops.

One problem I've had with linclons is throwing them wrong. On a tramp I usually just send them to the side/down. On a ski jump, you need to send it upwards and them sideways. (not on skis) try just jumping up as high as you can and sort of leaning one head and shoulder off to one side, that"s what it is like on skis, not just straight sideways.

I can only do them on tramp but make sure you are looking straight ahead the whole time. If you look up you're going to spin.

Lencon Loops***

Hey to all of you trying to figure out how to lincoln. I will try to explain it the best that I can. First off you are going to want a pretty floaty jump that isn't super poppy. The jump should be at least 25 feet with a steepish landing (I find that made it easier for me to land them). Okay so take a little bit more speed into the jump than you would to straight air or 3, I set up with a stance that is slighty more than shoulder width and ride straight in. I would recommend this approach rather than carving at first because you are less likely to spin to switch. So what you have to think about first is the pop. It's just like on a tramp. You are going to jump straight up and then throw your head and upper body to the side you want to flip. Grab your legs right behind your knee and commit to the flip. Then all you have to do is look your flip around and spot then stomp the landing. I like this trick better than a backflip because if you throw it the right way you can see the landing the whole way through. I have found that on skis you tend to stay much more straight than on a tramp so if you find that you lincoln 1 naturally on a tramp don't worry you will most likely straight lincoln on snow. If you do get lost in the air you will most likely land on your side so this is a pretty safe flip to try. A lincoln is fast becoming my favorite/go to trick on jumps. I hope this helps.
