Good question.
StaticHe would have car insurance equivalent to health insurance, if he gets in a wreck he gets fixed. A life insurance policy would pay out a predetermined amount in the event of his death. What he would also need to carry is long term disability so even if he's hurt and fixed under his car insurance, he can still supplement his lost income from not being able to race anymore.
