Could any one tell me the best way to take a pair of bindings of a old pair of skis and im going to a shop to get them mounted. along with that its o my new skis what is the easest way to make them less stiff right after i bought them
The shop should do it for you when you get them mounted to be honest. It's not hard to do as it's just screws but if you don't know you may end up cracking plates and stuff. As far as breaking skis in just ride them and they will I have heard of people standing them on bricks and weighting the middle but that's sorta dumb imo.
I tried taking my FKS 120s off of an old pair of skis and most of the bolts were able to come out, but the rest of the bolts that I tried to get out now have almost completely stripped heads because I was a dumbass and used a drill. Just take the old skis to the shop with the new skis and they'll be able to do the work for you for less the hassle.
agreed-- since youre taking them to the shop anyway just let them take off the old ones, they have the tools to do it easily and if you did it yourself it might be totally fine but it might also be a bear and you could make it worse by stripping the heads
as for the skis, all you can do is ski em! dont worry about breaking them in re: stiffness, itll happen just fine as you ski em
