Saga.Sadly we're sitting this year out. Going to miss seeing all the friends and the parties. If you want a look into what we're coming with next season check out our snapchat and instagram stories. We will be showing the new line daily over the next two weeks.
loganimlachI think we are going to see more and more of this in the years to come. SIA is a dinosaur that's dying

Profahoben_212its dying 100%. sad...i always looked foreward to seeing pictures and details of all the gear, of course we will still get all that...SIA just built up the anticipation i guess

Park_RangerWhere is the Revision Skis booth going to be at?!?!?
Saga.We don't think SIA is a dinosaur or dying. But the cost of the event for smaller brands is extremely taxing. Also the time and energy it takes to prepare and set up for the event is absurd.
The trade show is great but in the last several years it seems to be less and less beneficial to medium to small brands and the only reason to be there is to shake hands and talk to people you see once a year
stormtrooperSIA shot its self in the head when it moved to Colorado.
The cost Literally tripled,
-A discounted room for the "SIA Discounted Rate" will run you from $199 to $400 if you want to be within walking distance of the show. Back when it was in Vegas you could get a sick room any where from $25 to $75.
-Las Vegas also has ridiculously discounted flights during the winter season, for Denver it's there prime time.
They lost the idea of SIA being a business vacation.
-Regardless SIA is a lot of money for stores and brands to shell out, however, on a buyer platform, Vegas had tenfold more stores coming. Owners of smaller shops could look at it as a "business vacation" meaning when the show ends each day at 6 there would be a huge sponsored party going on, or you can go catch a show, gamble, or do one of the million other things to do for fun in Vegas. With Denver, the show ends at six and all there is to do is catch a shitty bar or go to the mall.
Vegas offered fun.
Denver Offers business meetings.
Why spend thousands on meetings when a rep will just come to your store?
