I know I know....I'm paranoid.....but is ebay reliable? I am a first-time buyer and am hesitent at giving away my address and everything to a website I don't really know much about. And how does credit card buying work? Does ebay charge the credit card or does the seller?

dude, hundres of thousands of products are bought and sold through ebay each day, as they have been for the last 7 years or so. You can trust them. And use paypal, or a casheers check..

I don't have a paypal account so I will be using my mom's credit card. Anyone have an answer to this...Does Ebay charge to your credit card or does the seller?

a lot of buyers dont accept credit card straight up. You should sign up for Paypal. It gives you more protection, is secure and is free. I would ask the seller any questions you have before you bid. Check feedbacks for any patterns of bad practices. Be aware of shipping expenses because they can be excessive and really add up if your not carefull.

i buy and sell there all the time, never had a problem, oh and paypal makes it much easier, and its free for buyers.

I just signed up tonight when I saw a pair of brand new unmounted pocketrocket 185cm for 350 bucks. I was the only person to bid on it and there was like two hours left so I figured I had it in the bag, so in the last 30 seconds 9 fucking people bid on it and I lost

you can use a friends paypal and then just give your friend the cash, if you just bid on an item and your paypal isn't set up yet.

Make sure the seller has little to no negative feedback. Powersellers will make you feel warm inside too.

oh and if anything seems fishy (sending more or less the ammount of the final bid) back out. If you lose and somebody contacts you later saying the first bidder backed out, back out. be smart.

e-bay the co. is very reliable and will not send you spam thru your mail. But it will send you your auction alerts and bidding statuses, but as long as you turn those options off you will be fine, you can trust ebay, you can not trust all sellers though.

I have bought a ton of stuff on ebay. I only got screwed once, and it was bad. I bid on some oakley
c wires and on the auction it had a picture with papers and everything but once she sent them to me they werent anything like the ones on the auction. They came straight from Tiajuana. I was pissed, but oh well. All of my other experiences have been great.
