We're sitting pretty at temperatures 20+ degrees above average. I'm not sure if it matters where you are but the temps we've been getting aren't typical haha. Surprisingly, the one hill still is mostly open so I guess it could be worse haha

I haven't skied pow in like 2 weeks... Getting antsy. I can only ski so many chalky groomers and bumps!

Scotland has had a god awful start to the season. of the 5 ski areas (they're not resorts) 1 has had a couple of partial opening days and 1 has had a beginners only area open 1 day. We keep getting a dump of snow start to build and then it just pishes it down with rain and it basically kills any chance of building a base. Thankfully I've gotten to Austria for two weeks so far so managed to scratch my itch for sliding on snow outdoors but I feel for anybody who only skis in the country.

Southern Ontario started strong, but it's been hovering above freezing, and raining for the past 2 weeks. We're supposed to get some more snow next week, but the weather guys always seem to be wrong about that. I hope to to make up for this winter in BC next year.

not like this bro

im not out east but for michigan it usually gets cold and stays cold- maybe one to 3 max rain days at 40

this year every single weekend its gone to to 40 to 50 and rained

now were one about a 10 day stretch of high 40s and rain :(

Beverly Mass. I ski in NH and VT. First day we got 6 inches and it was 15 the whole day. Yesterday it was 45 and spring conditions 2 months later.

Ohio is getting fucked in the ass pretty hard too. I agree, I have never seen a mid season thaw like this.

If you noticed the seasonal trends this season, the fall came really late. It was 75+ a lot of days in September and early October (atleast ohio). every single December we get a thaw after the resorts first open up. My theory is that this thaw is the equivalent of the usual december one so we will ski later into spring than normal if this late season trend continues. If not, blame la niña. Atleast the resorts can make snow later this week and get the conditions back to normal.

Been consistently cold in Bozeman, but not much in the way of snow. Bridger could use a very serious dumping right about now.

Yesterday we heard we were gonna get 5-10 inches now, it less than an inch. Meanwhile my older brother is at college in salt lake skiing nipple deep pow with free refills everyday

Anything over 24" has diminishing returns and after about 4' it's downright scary, dangerous and very limiting in a lot of situations.

7" is not a pow day. But it does make for fun turns and good, fresh snow.

Don't like not skiing pow in big mtns? Move. Simple.
