Michigan has been going from too warm to too cold pretty consistently and it sucks. The one time we got more than half an inch it all melted the week after. Freezing rain now.

I'm from southern New Hampshire, and god damn this winter is rough. We can't get a full cold week, it started looking like a good winter, but we keep getting warm fronts and rain storms. All the mountains took it hard this past week with warm rainy weather. Still praying for a good few storms!

Mount Snow has been very up and down all season.
We had a few smaller storms and I got to take my beaters in the trees for those days, but we just can't seem to avoid getting the r word every 1-2 weeks

It started out real shitty in CO but then it snowed err day throughout early/mid December. We got 70" in those 2 weeks and then another 68" in the past 2 weeks. Snowpack statewide was 25%-50% of average back in late Nov/early Dec if I remember correctly. Now we're at 100-150% of average so the past 6 weeks have been pretty epic. Pretty sure we have another big storm rolling in early next week too. Hopefully this trend keeps up and we'll see how the rest of the season plays out

We had a shit start, all of our mountains in utah pushed back openings a week or two to end of nov/early dec then it snow 200" in < 6 weeks.

In Ct it rains 3 days a week then freezes into ice on the weekends. Our local hills can barely even make snow which is usually what they rely on.

Central WI and Southern MN have been keeping super cold temps. Which is killer for skiing and riding sleds. A little warm snap here, which won't hurt too much. Only if the rain stays away.....

I think you mean we had a dream start. I don't think most people care about giving up a week of a tiny, crowded park or skiing the white ribbon in exchange for not having October storms rotting in the upper elevations and dicking up the snow pack until March.

I mean in the sense of early season snow, it was shit. Until it started snowing in december.

Its been good. Just a lot of effort on my part and snow has been very close but no cigar pow days just a little not deep enough.

But I mean its more me chosing the wrong weekend to roll with friends or drink heavily I've had a couple incidents. MLK weekend was trash snow awful melt freeze status I wish I rolled with my homies and just drank that week instead of the week before where there was a sneaky pow day but I blacked out and was getting kicked out of a bar and fought a bouncer who looked like my old roommate.


Really pumped for February. Feb 4 I have work in Omaha and after the game I will be driving to wherever the fuck has the best snow for 10 days before I need to be back in Omaha for more work 17th or so. Just need to nail that trip with multiple deep days.


I don't ski faggy ass bitch mountains which helps all my days have been at Whistler or Stowe at shit day at either of those hills beats a good day at lots of places. Miss Tahoe this would be another good year to do what I used to do and live in the casinos for 3-4 months and ski pow bet basketball and golf.

Haha we call 650 vertical a mountain in ohio... seriously though our yearly big trip is to seven springs or holiday valley and people usually complain those are small but they seem like giants to us. We have 240 ft
