Moment deathwish vs pb&j

If you already have skis that work well on groomers, definitely get the Deathwish. If not, the pb&j will probably be better on groomers, but the Deathwish will be more fun on the deep days and will still be ok on groomers.

If you have park skis that work well in hard snow go for the deathwish. Keep the edges sharp and you will be fine in the midwest. I used to ride bentchetlers as my daily.

IM stuck in Minnesota, and have Bents for out west and will be out there next season full time. Right now, I think they are great, love em. Id go for the Deathwish or if you like the PB&J shape and flex better go for the Bibby (essentially the exact same shape as the PB&J). To me the Deathwish was really stiff, too much for my taste, I liked the bibby more. Go for the Deathwish or PB&J.

GO death wish width won't be an issue I use jjs as my daily ski in Michigan for anything but park no complaints

I'm about your size, 6'1" and 185lbs. I own the 190 Deathwish as well as the 184 Vice from Moment.

In my experience the DW is a great soft snow ski for all conditions and they are very stable and versatile off-piste. This is a great Western US ski for 90% off-piste aggressive skiing. The ski can handle groomers but would not be my first choice by a long shot if you're primarily skiing on piste. I find they are good for high angle, long radius, very fast carving on groomers which is great fun until you have to force the tails to scrub speed.

Compare this to the Vice, which is the same shape as the PB&J and Bibby Pro only narrower. The vice feels much more versatile on piste to me than the Deathwish and can carve great while also being more manageable at slow speeds and having more variety of turn shapes.
