oxicleanIf these are going to be purely powder skis, the 185 will float better. But if you like doing trees, or these are going to be more of an all mountain ski, get the 175.
Logan32What if I was to use them for touring?
chickenIf you like a 176 park ski you will probably want to go 186 for pow. how heavy/strong are you?

soupcanUnless you are on the east coast go 185. They ski pretty short with the large extended rocker and if you ever feel the need to just let them fricken go and rip some crap/straight line a stupid mogul line like a hooligan you will be loving the length. Coming from a guy who's 5'7 weighing about 160ish. Really the only feasible reason I could see for going with the shorter length is if you were hitting bc bootees all the time and throwing big spins.
TreewellMagnetDo Armada measure true? How much rocker do the jjs have? Its kind of tricky since you could go both ways. If your current skis feel on the large end I would be a bit careful before pulling the trigger on a larger size. If the larger size has lots of rocker and near the same effective edge of your bdogs you will probably be fine. But if the larger jjs have more effective edge then you might notice the size difference more. If you can demo a pair that would be the best...
I made this mistake once with my powder boards. I was skiing 178 cm line sfbs and wanted something with a bit more float. I was used to line skis measuring short so i didn't think about how different another manufacturers skis might measure. So I bought 181 Jeffrey 114s which measure true. In the store, they seemed to be what I was looking for as they were about 6 cm longer than my bacons. At 5 ft 6 in height, they were just a touch long for me. I also didn't factor in the longer effective edge of the Jeffrey's which made it bit awkward at first. Eventualy I could still ski fine for the most part but I was missing just a touch of maneuverability that I was looking for. Long story short, spent a lot of money to realize that the skis I bought were just a bit too big. Caved and bought kartel 116 in 176 and now much happier (but a lot poorer now :)
Logan32Sorry for the late response, no my Armada Bdogs measure small, I suppose going with the 175 would be less risky because they aren't crazy small, however going with the larger size could be an issue and would lose out on performance benefits. Yet if it is common for armada skis to measure small and with lots of rocker, the 185 might be the better choice.
