theabortionatorKeep it mellow. Creativity and large features are cool, but make sure you have the basics set up properly.
Flax box, flat rail, down rail, etc.
Dig features in appropriately. So that you don't have beginner features sitting super high out of the snow.
Look at who rides the park and try and design something that's fun for everyone. If the ability level is low, sometimes some pretty small stuff is a good route, and can also be fun for better kids if it's built correctly.
Leave room for the cat if possible so it can groom between features. Otherwise it can become an icy mess and you'll be stuck hand raking between rails.
If space is an issue some multi use features and plazas can be good but as mentioned above, if rails are tight together you'll have to do more handwork.
Remember that there are people riding who aren't as good as you. You could make the best looking park ever, but if only 3 people hit it, it's kind of pointless.
Also when you say "from scratch" do you mean first setup of the season or that you don't have any features yet?
CarsonDaSkierThey're making completely new features
