Leather or Gore-Tex mitts?

I'm having trouble figuring out what would be the warmest mitt option for me? I bought a pair of Dakine Baron Gore-Tex mitts this season but they aren't as warm as I thought they would be because they aren't breathable. I've heard a lot of people say leather is a better option but I've never owned a pair so I'm not so sure. Thoughts?

To be fair, I haven't used leather gloves either, but I am not sure how they would be any more breathable than something synthetic.
On really cold days, I have a couple pairs of thin, breathable liner-type gloves that I'll wear under my gore-tex gloves. Once they get sweaty, I'll swap them out for a different set.

A full leather glove will be the warmest you can buy. Best heat retention out of any material, although not as breathable, but if you're only using for colder weather then it shouldn't be an issue.

get some thin liners or another pair of gloves to swap when yours get wet. also dry face tubes are nice too

Not warm because they're not breathable? I think you have something mixed up there.

ahah gore-tex is very breathable bro, it might not be the most breathable membrane out there but it is pretty high up on the list.
a Kinco glove will be significantly less breathable than your baron mitts, if you are still getting cold try getting a pair of merino liner gloves for a little extra warmth and make sure you are layering up (*properly) to keep your core warm, cold core = cold extremities ie. toes and fingers.

I have owned both and I can say the best pair of gloves i have owned are the Black Diamond Guide Gloves (leather) highly recommend them.
