Hey all. Title pretty much speaks for itself. Just wanted to get some opinions on both resorts. I've never been to either so they'd both be cool to go to. Leaving from Pittsburgh so the drives are about the same (10hrs) and a passport to Canada isn't a problem. I ski 7 springs and Snowshoe so getting to one of these bigger mountains would be cool. Let me hear what you guys have to say about each! Thanks!
Off trail terrain wise, these two are pretty close. Tremblant has sick tree and bump runs and some really steep stuff. Killington does to, but ive never skied it. Tremblant's parks suck though, and killingtions are sick.
I would definitely go with Tremblant because it is waaaay nicer in terms of lodging and the lifts are really fast. The lay out of the mountain is really cool. Both are sick mountains so you wont be disappointed either way.
I was at Killington last week. Most of the terrain parks were not open and I overheard an ambassador say only 25% of the mountain was open. Stay in the singles line and you'll get in a gondola 5 minutes or less. Killington is neighbors with Pico, you can use the same lift ticket and it is also 30 minutes from Stratton, Mt. Snow, and Magic Mountain. You can ski 5 mountains in 1 trip depending on if your willing to drive/ how long your staying.
Sorry, I should have specified the times/the entire trip. I know Mt snow and Killington are close. My original plan was to road trip up to Tremblant end of February/First week of March. Ski Holiday Valley 1 or 2 days on the way there, ski Tremblant for 2/3 days and then come back. I know Tremblant is a Spring Break attractor too. Parkwise, I don't need spectacular parks. I do mostly slopes and stuff anyway, occasional park run includes a few rail hits and smaller jumps. Im leaning towards Tremblant just for the atmosphere as well. Thanks for the input guys. +K
