For the record I have no idea what's actually dropping but I've had friends posting pictures shoveling waist high.

I pretty much want to investigate no further.

I might just book a flight to Japan.


Also anyone posting please feel free to say that there's actually no snow there so I can feel better.

I'm fucking PISSED that I'm back home in South Dakota instead of tahoe right now.

But 15 feet will not fall. Still getting nuked. Today was rain, got about 50 inches in three days depending on who you ask and where on the lake. Pretty sure it was one random weather reporter that called for like 20 feet and everybody flipped shit. Doesn't matter because a lot of resorts are closed and I've heard that I-80 is closed, so even if they are open not like you could get get there.

That's just my way of making myself feel better for missing this. Wish I was skiing lol

For sure. That said big snow storms in tahoe seem to have been all too few the last 5 or 6 years. Even 3-4 feet is quite significant. Idk when this storm is supposed to wrap up, but seems like that's what's being reported in spots.

I left Tahoe, the day it started. Still have a buddy there, about 40in at his place already since Monday

I'm with ya man. Been in New York for the holidays since the 19th. But I'm heading back to UT on Saturday so I can't complain too much

Ugh, I'm supposed to be living out there with 3 days off a week. But I'm still in PA. If they get over 10 feet I might have to light my car on fire and push it off a cliff.

I just got back from 5 days in Mammoth and it was pretty nuts. Supposedly 7 feet on top. A bit wind affected, definitely not sink deep blower, but I'm not complaining. This should make the base pretty set for the year. The next round of storms is about to hit. It is supposed to bring some rain but it could also bring 5-6 more feet to the top. It's great to see storms like this again in the Sierra. It has been a while.

According to Mammoth Snowman there was some rain. I was not there so I don't know, but that is what was reported.

These recent storms have been quite warm, i imagine it could've rained on the lower mountain, been raining a bit at the base of PC the last couple days but its been nuking where it matters.

We had gotten about 4 feet a week ago (2 feet of blower then covered by wet Sierra Cement and then rain). Monday morning the rain switched to snow and didn't stop until this afternoon. Around 10 ft for most resorts in Tahoe for the last few days.

Was home in VT for break and missed the actual storm, but I'm not even mad because it looked like a shit show. In Phoenix right now flying back, epic pow days will soon come. Getting back just in time for things to cleaned up and ready to shred! Been vibin to edits hard in the airport because I'm too stoked, gotten some weird looks haha.
