How to do 360 on to 5050 on tube?

Saw this video the other day:

I was trying it on a tube in my back yard yesterday and can't land it to save my life. I can't stop my rotation once I hit...

what am i doing wrong newschoolers?

There's lot of factors with 5050s, like ski width and tube width. I find them pretty hard on pvc because of how slick it is.

I like to edge my feet outwards to kind kind of make an upside down v to lock onto the tube. I also find it helps to have your weight more neutral or back on your feet then forward

never tried to spin into a 5050 yet though, so it may be different

yeah see I can get a regular 5050 no problem. been doing those for years... its spinning into it that is ruining me.

I can't imagine stopping the spin. my pvc tube is pretty fat... but maybe you're saying this would be easier on a steel tube at a park?

try throwing a 3 or jus over rotate a 270 and make sure you have your legs together at impact. or jus get used to doing 5050s and then go for it

wait so you're saying basically under rotate the 3 so im not spinning as much when I hit?

ill give that a shot as well as taking this to some real steel in the park

tbh id stick to tricks that olympic judges wanna see, not shitty little kids on ns. if you wanna be like me, do a 360 off of a 70 footer and miss the grab. it's way easier

His right ski is stopping the spin. You could drop the right heel like he's doing, or start twisting at the hips when you get on so your skis would stop..

if you can spot the landing or the end of the tube coming around 270 and jus focus at it, your body should be able stop its rotation. or jus drop one foot lower then the other and land one footed with the other against the tube to stop your rotation until you get used to it and figure out how to stop the rotation. maybe try it on like a skinny small box to get the pop right and your not throwing you hand every where in the air. try not to huck it, use your shoulders and try and keep your arms under control so it will look more natural then huck

maybe you should start by cheating a lil and doing a 2 on and the 90 on the tube to get more comfy with the trick first

Have u tried starting at a 720 and worked your way down to a 360?????

thanks guys ive been trying this a bunch and im still not getting it, but i'm way closer than I was before.

You should just cheat it and improve from there. 270 and swivel to a 5050 then and try to make the swivel more integrated with the 270 on until your'e doing more of a 360 in. I have only done 180's onto tubes, but I started with surface swaps and then fused the surface swap with the jump into the rail until it metamorphized into 180 on.
