Profahoben_212This Northstar sucks balls. Their park really is no better than boreal and that is their only drawing point. If you only have one thing at least do it right. They have no terrain...just some ehhh trees. Absolutely stupid parking and stupid base area. Everybody there is pricks and they have Yellow Jackets.
Also heavenly has an okay vibe....just not good snow or terrain. K wood and squaw or alpine are way better
I might take Heavenley's terrain over anything in Summit there isn't a better chair at Vail than Mott Canyon. And I mean I haven't skiied Heavenley since I was a kid and I lived in those casinos across the street for 3-4 weeks one year with the Epic (was early season and Kwood got dumped and was fully open before Thanksgiving Heavenley nada) and drove to Kwood instead every day due to snow and have had 3 other Tahoe trips where I only hit Kwood and not Heavenley due to not enough time. Im old and have spent way too much time in Tahoe.
But the terrain doesn't suck. Quick hike up Milky Way into Killebrew is rad. Mott is fun. And there are a few good groomer high speed chairs high up on the mountain on both the Nevada and CA side each has a few chairs making crowds managable. Not to mention super steep difficult terrain low down on the CA side but this is Newschoolers 99% of pussies on here probably hate moguls not me though I love them. The snow sucks again I haven't skiied it since I was younger and my dad was paying for the trip and have likely 60 or so days at Kwood in that time with 0 at Heavenley.
Anyone who would buy a day ticket at Nstar is probably a gaper staying at the Ritz there. But the parks are better than Boreal sorry the jump lines are far longer and way way doper and the terrain isn't awful the backside lift and the martis camp lift are fast lifts serving good trees bumps and steep enough groomers. That and the parks make for pretty good skiing if its free and on your pass. I plan on buying the Epic next year with Whistler on it I'll enjoy non pow days there free Nstar isn't worthless. I also only park in the 2 hour lot because I can get my fill of Nstar in in 2-3 hours.
I mean are you going to tell me that waiting in monster lines for the triple and the slow ass shitty fucking Sunrise backside fixie at Kirkwood to get to the primo terrain inbetween the t bar and the cirque on pow days is fun? Awful lines. And if its a pow day that is midweek you can count on Kirkwood to refuse to open that. The entitled ass Patrol won't open chair 6 until 10 AM so they can ski everything out themselves and the Wall won't open until noon and people accept it so its assumed when it snows you have to wait until tomorrow for the backside when there is a mere 12 inches of fucking snow. If its a crowded weekend they obviously speed the process up. Anyone who has skiied there last couple years won't say I'm wrong. Motherfuckers. 200 people at least can be counted on to wait an hour for the first run on Eagle bowl when patrol stops fucking around.
Squaw Patrol is no better I've waited until 1030-11 for Headwall to open with fuck all snow way under a foot while those cocksuckers lapped it and it was skiied out before first chair. Little later riding up Siberia you talk to a patroller who has already skiied Chimney and Main a couple times that day and can tell you all about how both are fucker abusing his power and position.
But everyone is a pussy and lets them get away with it because they sometimes take injured gapers down in sleds and people like being treated like cuck sheep bitches and being forced to wait a couple hours for 8 inches of fresh snow while those idiots blast some dynamite here and there and enjoy the fresh while people who pay their wages stand around like jerkoffs its no wonder muslims are going to conquer and enslave us soon.
