Possibly a boot fit issue. I get this all the time from playing soccer. After awhile the nail will fall off when a new one grows under. Not pretty but a new nail with replace it soon.

I got my boots heat molded at work then skied on saturday and they were fine.

I have a black and blue toe as well. It's definitely from riding backseat... no regrets.

You need footbed and better skiing form.

I got this all the time with my Langes, for me the boot was too narrow cutting off circulation to my toe. Was pretty gnarly seeing the nail fall off. Wooo. Get your boots punched out!!

Yah same thing happened to me a few years back with my langes that didn't fit well, most likely a boot issue op

Toe nails eventually fall off. I get sore big toes after long days in my boots. You either have a hot spot in your boots that presses right on your toes, or you are in the back seat too much and push your toes too far forward. Its a good thing its winter and people aren't going to be judging you for you for your pretty pedicure ;)

I guess be prepared for those toenails to possibly fall off. I had my big toenail come off last season, I hit my toe on the front of my boots, toe turned purple/black, nail turned black, came off in spring. It's not a big deal but it does look like shit for a while, doesn't take long for the nail to come back.

I'd take them to a boot shop and see what the fitters think. I took mine in, they adjusted them a bit more, expanded the toe box and I never had that issue again.

can confirm. I have full tits and I've never had toe bang issues.

keep your toenails trimmed, and file the nail down so the edge is smooth and doesn't catch.

But this season I clipped my toe nails as short as possible with out cutting myself. So far it has worked, so I would recommend cutting toe nails a lot shorter.

For me it's not my nails, i just have huge blood blisters that have hardened and cracked and hurt like hell now. Im pretty sure my boots are just way too small, not sure what to do at this point

This is very necessary what spat_man said to do, but if you still feel as if your toes are banging up against the front of the boot you could stretch out the toe box at the shop. Go in to a reputable shop and talk to them about what is the problem. Describe the situation and listen to what they want to do to your boot. Fixing toe bangers is actually one of the easiest things to do for a shop, you would be surprised, what we tell people in my shop when fitting out a boot is that make sure the fit of the boot is perfect everywhere along with the length, if you can't find a more perfect boot then the one you feel your having toe problems, it really isn't that big of a deal because it is the easiest problem out off all others to fix. Before you stretch the toe box or pop out anything in your ski boot shell, MAKE SURE to always get a heat mold for your liner, because it always makes the fit of the boot better, and can fix some problems without permanently affecting the boot. Also just so ya know, doing any work on the boot such as popping out the shell or stretching the toe box does not decrease the quality of the boot, you just obviously can't reverse it so you wanna make sure you need to so it does not make the problem worse!
