Replying to New Skis for a big guy
Hi All,
I just cracked the sidewall on my skis directly under my binding and every shop tech in the land is telling me my skis are structurally unsafe and I should get new ones. I ski the east (Killlington mainly) and go out west each year. I'm 23, 6'1", and 225lbs. I ski rather aggressively, I like to go fast down groomers and I enjoy the trees and the bumps the most. I don't hit the park much but I will hit some jumps and small cliffs. Here are the skis on my list in no particular order.
Black Crows Atris@184
Line Supernatural 108@186
Nordica Enforcer 100 @185
J skis the metal @186
Blizzard Cochise @185
4frnt Devastator@ 184
Never skied any of these before but they all come highly praised. A Backcountry.com gearhead recommended the Devastators. I hear great things about those but having a ski without camber on the East seems like a force, any thoughts on that? Looking for a wide ski that can handle its self in the anywhere and lay down some trenches on the hard pack when needed. Any help is much appreciated.
