Replying to problem with MD player

something in the little input jack where i plug in my headphones to my minidisk player isnt working for some reason so i get no sound. But if i move the headphone cable metal part around enough, i suddenly get sound for a second and then when i let go it stops again. whatever connects the audio cable to to the internal part of the player got moved or something. I think it got messed up falling in the park. Anyone know anythin about fixing that kinda stuff? cause i dont wana send it back to sony it takes too much time.
