iFlipFar too many unanswered questions here for me to part with my hard-earned money or "share" and ask others to do the same. I'm guessing Sam is 20 or 21. This means he should be on his parents' health insurance, or if they do not have health insurance, then his university's health insurance. No undergraduate student is permitted to be enrolled in classes without health insurance. Health insurance should cover a neck brace and any associated x-rays, therapy, etc.
How much were these theoretical medical bills? You say that due to him being an out-of-state student they are higher...this makes zero sense. All I see is you trying to raise $550, a high school cross country pic, and no facts, proof, or proof of need for Sam.
Again, I'm very sorry that an individual took a fall and got injured. That sucks.
1, health insurance paid some of the bill not all, he is from Massachusetts so the bill was higher and did not cover everything. Medical bills in Maine are cheaper for people who are in state than those out of state.
2. That is a college cross country pic, the jersey is a white jersey with a blue mule holding a colby pennant on it, they are our alternate uniforms.
3. Colby says that to look good. They look at your parents income and if they make 65,000 a year, they say great, that's how much colby costs, so you could pay the full thing without loans. They don't take any responsibility for the loans you actually have to take out though.
I understand that you guys are doubting and pictures of the bill and the neckbrace are coming soon.
