Would this rotation work on skis?

came across this old clip again of ronnie renners QP hit. he does like an inverted straight air/180. i realize he has gyroscopic forces helping him, but i wonder if it could be done on skis with a huge shifty or something. probably impossible, but how many ski tricks has that been said of before?

Never say never .. moto guys can do crazy stuff with the assistance of throttle and brake... that being said, MTB dudes can also throw shit down...and they don't have a throttle...so clearly I have helped lots.

.... in the end, it all comes down to how fresh your kit is.

It almost seems like he is able to manipulate the bike separate from his body in order to get it back under him to land. So the extra weight allows something like this to happen.

Vinnie could probably find a way to do it on skis.

it works because of how heavy the bike is. its momentum is pulling him up so he's able to position himself to get pulled by the momentum rather than pushed by it then as the bikes momentum reaches zero and it starts to fall he's able to re-position himself and again get behind it.

It would be possible if you had really heavy skis that would be the main driver of momentum. Those bikes are probably about 200 lbs and I'm not sure it would be possible if they were lighter than the person riding them. But maybe. Mountain bikers can do some pretty crazy stuff like that.

If you came into a qp at a hard carve like you want to hand plant, but then never touch down with your hand you might be able to do something like this.
