177 too short?

Im 6'1 and have a pair of 179 peacemakers, very different ski but the height is all that matters. Theyre up to about my uppernose-lip with gear on and I really wish I had them in a longer length

its preference, try demo-ing some longer sticks and see if you like the extra length. generally at 6'2" you could do with some taller skis

if you tried some longer skis you'd probably be happier. Im 6'1" and had 185 chronics. I now ride 186 Kartels that seem to be more like 188-189 and I love them

It really comes down to personal preference, but I would definitely recommend going longer. I'm 6' 3" and was choosing between 177 and 185 for my Chronics. Went with the 185 and couldn't be happier. The longer ski feels so much more stable underfoot at higher speeds, not to mention you can go way faster with a longer ski than a shorter one. Can honestly say its made me a better skier in terms of turns and whatnot. The only issue I've had with a longer ski is that sometimes in tight trees the tails sometimes hit a tree if you turn too quick. I would go one size up from 177

If your dead set on some afterbangs they made 184's for a year or two, there were a pair in sell/trade a few months ago

that being said my longer (177) afterbangs went to shit a lot quicker then my shorter (166) ones.
