PSA: Dew Tour Schedule change, Slopestyle Jumps Friday 9am MST

Hey guys, we had a bit of a change in dew tour scheduling due to weather

Friday:
Men's Slopestyle jumps (individual) 9am MST

Women's Slopestyle jumps (individual) 1045am MST

Saturday:
Women's Slopestyle jibs (individual) 1230pm MST

Men's Slopestyle jibs (individual) 2pm MST

Sunday:
Ski Team Challnege Jumps 1030am MST

Ski Team Challenge Jibs 1pm MST


Everything will be live streamed on dewtour.com and on newschoolers, tune in tomorrow at 9am for the first event.

This is the worst competition format I have ever seen. This is not slopestyle. Obviously Xgames and Dew tour are a TV show, but I couldn't even watch that. This was made to put into a 1 hour tv show.

There will be a recap show in two weeks, but theyre live streaming all events, which IMO is awesome. If you don't want to watch it live then wait for the show.

Slopestyle is supposed to show the skier that can put together a run hitting 6-8 features in a row and not mess up. This is not that and doesn't show who the best really is. I know they couldn't build more jumps because of snow, but this is just stupid. I watched for a bit, then decided I would rather go skiing because it wasn't fun to watch.

Plus how many kids on a Friday morning are watching when they are at school? It's sick it's live streamed but what sponsors are paying money because there is no viewership.

The reason for doing the big air on a friday morning was that it is dumping snow in Breck and this was the only chance to get the jumps done. ALSO, if you want to see consistancy and putting together a run, tune into the rail section tomorrow.. it looks insane

I was really stoked initially on the format change, but this is 100% a bust to me. What a let down.

Looking forward to the jib section, but I agree with Mike, the same old same old slope format would've been much more entertaining imo. The test course they used last year for the next olympics was dope to me, I think the format is ok, it's the courses in the last ten years that have been lame. Maybe a slope style jam session would be cool.

Anyone know when street style is on?

This wasn't a big air though. Part of what makes pro courses so difficult is even being able to make all the features. Not landing perfect and you can't even hit the next jumper rail and you have to hit 6-8 in a row. It's why Nick Goepper is so good, and Henrick, and a lot of others, but that shows off the best true slope skier. Not a big air and a rail jam.

Granted it is due to snow though and I'm aware. It's not their fault, but it's unfortunate this is how it's being ran. At most give riders 2 runs, not 4. Henrick even said he landed 2 tricks first time ever, and he would most likely not have included those in his slope runs.
