Good rentals at vail?

Does anyone know if I would be able to get some decent rental planks in vail, CO? My family is taking a trip out there this year and I'm not sure if we're going to bring our own or rent skis there. I have line chronics which I think would be fine for some west coast skiing but if i have to rent I'd wanna get wider more pow oriented skis so I can really get after it when I find some freshies.

Maybe you could demo powder skis from one of the shops. There were lots of people demo-ing when I was there last March. I skied very deep pow there on my Blends last year and they were decent, but the tips are decently fatter than chronics, so you may be better off trying to demo than bringing your own skis anyway. Rentals probably will not be that great, but definitely look into demo skis.

ive never looked or checked there but almost any decent ski town will have pretty solid skis to rent, or at least to demo. id say youre fine to leave your skis at home and rent/demo some fatties. bring your own boots obviously

Christy Sports. They're a chain store, but oddly enough it feels like the most "local" shop there. Dudes are all awesome and know their stuff, plus they all shred on their off time. They have both demos and rentals. If you play it right, you could trade some beer or other...stuff for an upgrade or extra day.

As a bonus, it's near the bottom of the new gondola, so you can store them there for the night, and pick them up as you're walking in.

Christys is great. Buzz's Boards is great too. There are a ton of good rental/demo shops in Vail. You really can't go wrong. I like Vista Bahn Ski Rentals too, and they offer free storage at night, so you don't have to schlep your shit back to the condo.

take your time to drive to slopestyle in breck and demo from them. support a core ski shop........ if u love this industry then put your dollars back into it....

Just don't rent from a chain store. Local shops will most likely tune and maintain the skis better, plus you are helping a fellow brother out by funding his skiing.
