this is the reason I asked about how each different wood skis

animatorIve been looking into ski design or pressing my own pair to see if I can come up with something thats different and suits my style more. If anyone has experience with this or just knows how each wood (e.g. poplar, balsa, balsa/flax) skis differently I would greatly appreciate your input. Thanks!

I wanted to build my own skis until i looked at the logistics of it all... Your gonna need some serious spending money to get all the equipment you need. Not to mention each pair of skis is around 100 dollars in raw materials. Multiply that by however many tries it takes you to create a remotely decent pair of skis. If your up for the challenge then I wish you the best of luck just be prepared to spend some $$
