washing a puffy

any tips on washing/drying a down puffy so it doesn't come out all flat and dead looking?

Use the Nikwax down wash product, it'll keep your jacket all nice and it'll add some more DWR to the outside...

with mine i just wash them like on cold by themselves with detergent and softner, then i hang dry them , or dry them on low, then tumble dry them to get the puffyness back

my mom always puts tennis balls in the dryer with her down (puffy) coats. i guess its suppose to help keep them puffy or something.
