smckean28In search of a great pow ski for this season. I use Faction 2.0's for pretty much everything besides pow, but I'm totally torn on what 115+cm underfoot pow ski to get. I've heard solid things about both the Pettitor and the JJ 2.0 but my main concern is the weight difference between the two, with the Pettitor being heavier. Can anyone give some advice on which ski would be a better on a solid pow day with a freestyle/buttery mindset? Would appreciate any help because I cant make the damn decision and both skis are on sale online for the 2016 models. Obviously seeing Pettit rip his pro model makes them look unreal but I'd love some honest feedback.
Kbob94I have the jj zeros and I love them to death. They're so damn light it's crazy and yet they still perform so awesome. I'd definitely recommend them.

_faaaWell I got to know both skis pretty well. 40+ days on 12/13 JJs before I wrecked them, 60+ days on my Pettitors, still going strong.
Both are fun skis, definitely not made for charging serious terrain. True noodles. Imo the tiny sidcut of under 25m makes the skis feel really jittery and unstable when you re going fast. (For reference, I am 6"2 and 180lb with a weakness for going big and fast) In combination with the soft tail wheeling out big cliffs is daily routine. If you re skiing steep terrain, without any or almost no glades I d say get something beefy and stable.
The Pettitor are actually heavy as fuck, but the (AK) JJs arent light either.
If you ski often in glades, like playful skis and are throwing bigger tricks than 5s and ski lot of switch, both will suit your needs.
Pettit can rip on Pettitors pretty hard cause he s 5"8 and 145lb. This with 189 Pettitors... here you go.
scratchskier321what ski do you like? if not jj or pettitor?
_faaaMoment Governor, Movement Super Turbo, 4FRNT Renegade. Solid skis to charge hard in softer snow. When I m skiing chutes or technical terrain some noodles underfoot are quiet counterproductive ;)
scratchskier321thoughts on rossi black ops?
thechaoticpandaHello , i fell through the same loop hole and ended buying the Atomic Chris Bent Chentlar 2016 skis . Playful than both skis . The thing about the armada jj 2.0 is that they are designated for deep powder use , which sucks in mid to dry days . Now the pettitor's are awesome (some people shred the park with them !!! Carzy huh ? ) but they are not as stable. So I went with the atomics that is best of both worlds, playful , stables, buttery skis and they look awesome.
Let's see if someone backs me in on this .
Hope I've helped :)
SessionYou wanted less powder specific, so you bought a wider ski? You are a special kind of stupid.
thechaoticpandaWider ski ? You know that the jj's also come in 120 mm on the waist ? Or maybe you are too short to check out the taller skis ? So do not go calling people stupid you egoistic midget . And read , read a lot !
SessionSo we are talking the 195 2.0 vs the 192 Bent Chetler (that I have owned). They are so similar in almost every aspect. Even construction as they are both built by Atomic. But your notion that the 2.0 is somehow deep pow specific whereas the Bent Chetler is more versatile one of the dumber things I have reads on these forums.
