lfiebig11He told me that's what he is going to do yesterday. It will likely be big enough to be worth it. I think he is mostly looking for dimensions/angle. I've never seen a Y rail so I don't have anything to help him with.
theabortionatorOk. Obviously it will be more oa f pain to build than an elbow.
It all depends what you want. 15 is very short imo though. Even on a c rail anything under 20 feels tiny.
Does he really need a y rail or is he just building it to do it? Okemo use to have a huge y rail. When I worked at beaver creek a few years ago we had a double flat down albow tube that was fun.
I just feel like it's more effort that it's worth for a backyard setup unless you're really looking for a specific curve.
Also it varies. There aren't many y rails out there and they aren't even close to being the same. Everything from 2 crails pretty much, 2 elbows, a long flat shotgun where both sides c out. different angles and lengths within that.
The only advice I can really give if he's set on it is to go longer than you think. For instance 15' sounds like a long rail but it's not, especially when you add a kink or curve. Good luck.
