Replying to Bobby Orr's words of wisdom
Bobby Orr is a hockey hall of famer who has used his 68 years of life to gather knowledge that I think everyone should follow. He was one of, if not the best defenceman of all time. He could back up his skating skills with professional play making strategies and his ability to score as well. If that doesn't sound like someone who knows what they're doing then I don't know what.
Bobby was known for playing on the Boston Bruins for 10 seasons; during that time he said the famous words "Forget about style; worry about results". That is why I made this thread. Bobby is a role model who's words we should all take to heart, and I think that's very important for people to know. I hear all these people (Michael) who say that style is all that matters, but they didn't live for nearly 70 years all the while gathering knowledge that most people will never be able to understand. They didn't have a grandpa from Ireland who was a top-tier soccer pro, and they sure as hell weren't chosen to be one of the eight Canadians to carry the Canadian flag during the 2010 Vancouver Olympics opening ceremony. So in my mind and what everyone else should agree on is that people who think style is all that matters are wrong and that Bobby Orr is a sage who should be immortalized in history as the man who saved us all from losing our skiing skills in order to look "trendy".
(disclamer) if anyone felt at all roasted by this please know that it wasn't meant to hurt anyone and it's just for fun.
Sincerely your cult leader,
