Replying to What ski is right 4 me?
Alright, so I'm just about set for this year with skis, I just mounted a pair of 176 punx that i picked up from a warranty at the end of last year and I have a pair of 178 Js from last year that are fun for all mountain, but being the cheap college student skier that I am im already scouring the internet to find the ski of next year (or next-next year). Im 19, 5'10 about 180 and ski 50-60 days a year between Killi Okemo and sunapee in NH and I have found myself going through skis pretty quickly. I spend about 90% of my time in the park and ski everything in there, from rails to big jumps and I do expect a lot from my skis. So far my favorite ski that I have been on are the Punx I am on now, but the last pair of those i had only lasted the first half of last year and who knows how long these will last. Im not super into wide skis for park skiing or anything super soft, the js I have (allplays) are fun, but a little too wide and slow for rails. Rockered skis look like theyd be fun as long as theyre not too soft. I like the idea of on3p, because everyone says their stuff is bombproof and they sound like a great company and the kartels look sick but theyre the same waist as the allplays (has anyone tried the magnuses yet?). Vishnus look cool and are also a cool company with a good durability rating and their a little bit skinnier but are they too soft? I know k2s are pretty bombproof and I havent heard much about HG but I wanted the newschoolers opinion on this: what is the best hard charging park ski around or below a 90 mm waist that is going to last at least a year and is from a decent company? Price isn't too much of an issue because even though im pretty poor ive got a year plus to find these bad boys and will probably find a decent deal somewhere. Thats as much information as I can think of now help me. Pls.
