I just got gps goggles on sale and they are kind of fun for early season. I know my tracks has been around for a while. So for those of you that have used anything to verify speed what sort of heat have you thrown down. Not much open at copper yet but today I got 50.
VinnieFNo one believes you for a reason . Olympic downhill skiers don't even go that fast in perfect conditions with all the best technology and the skill to go with it. There's no way a 140 lb person in baggy freeski outerwear with 170 twin tips that probably haven't been waxed in the last 10 ski days who has minimal downhill skiing skill and knowledge is going to go faster then them.
h8erz gonna h8.
wasn't on park skis. they were longer than 170s. I wax regularly. Still the fastest bases i have ever been on, faster than any ON3P base.
Well, after skiing with a Pauline Socquet Clerc (if I’m not wrong she won 2 globes, she showed my group her photos with them) she told me what just with my jacket and my pants (nothing about suits) I could easily hit 120 km/h, and, in fact we got up to 90km/h. Then I went to Andorra and hit 106.5 km/h easily in a slope called Riberal (launched km comps take place there). Scary af, but funny af too. Now I go like 70-80km/h when not wanting to go fast. For having hit the slopes only about 160 days it isn’t that bad, tho. Not the fastest man on Earth, but not the slowest, too.
57 according to ski tracks at Jay Peak on a really icy day. I was cooking it, and felt like the fastest I've ever gone so maybe. The app is quite inaccurate though. I was at a basin yesterday and it said I skied a 37° slope which is completely wrong since only blues were open.
On the whistler app I have been a few kmh shy of 100 a few times. Honestly, have a tough time believing anyone can get much above 100 without a race suit, there is just too much wind resistance. Typically top speed of the day is around 70-90km/h

NEW PR-- Today was nearly empty at JHMR. I skied several T to B race-your-own-tram laps with my neighbor who has the 'Trace' (sp?) app. We hit 71 on lower grov ventre our first run and tucked 74 on our second run. Straightlining cold groomer for over 1000 vert from s pass traverse down to the base
****I would never go this fast with other people on the run but we essentially had the mtn to ourselves this am. Like 30 people on first tram***
.MASSHOLE.72, it was clocked with a speed gun. Gotta love Super-G training. It was scary as shit.
I got up to 74 on a gun. Of course it was on 195 super g skis at 6:30am on the coldest snow I’ve ever skied in my life except for a JO quail in mammoth. Still think it’s impressive looking back on it with being a 13 and not quite 100 pounds. But I think I’ve hit higher in an actual race in mammoth but I’ve got no radar to prove it.
Never bothered to check but we were going 56 apparently down some groomers at Snowmass last year. Not crazy fast but we were just riding. Bombing but riding around hitting rollers, beers in hand mid afternoon spring laps.
I feel like I'd do something stupid if I actually tried to see how fast I could go.
I don't really like straightlining shit that much other than the inruns to big jumps. I'd rather make some fat turns and git low.
DoledHexFrom what I can tell you took the same image and edited the speed, because everything else is the same.
Unless im being dense and the app is like that for everyone, since I don't use it.
yes seems all he did was transpose the 5 and the 8 hah
Hit 62 on Wednesday with my reckoner 122s straightlining Rosis at copper. That run is typically just a sheet of ice and super skied off. If they were waxed, bet I could have hit a higher mark.

gotto respect thoose numbers on 122s! betting your even on team mark? :D
at thoose speeds bases, wax and especially clothing kicks in.
to other poster 45mph? thoose are rookie numbers, gotto pump thoose numbers
Don’t really use the apps because they kill battery but last time I used it, I clocked 65mph at remarkables resort in NZ. Previously had clocked 64 at mt rose on ski tracks on a slushy day. I kinda take these speeds with a grain of salt.
