NinskasiI always recommend lessons as well though.
Erikaaafriends teaching each other or couples teaching each other doesnt usually go well..
too easy to get angry and frustrated with each other lol
I know lessons are kinda pricy sometimes but it may be a good idea so she can get a grip on a level one progression in skiing so get the basics down - and then help her build up her skills personally! A lesson will definitely teach her some core skills she will need.
girlscanshredTrueee. Anytime i try to teach my sister in the park, i end up yelling at her and then she cries and it never ends well. Unless the person teaching is wicked nice and patient then id recommend getting a lesson
Erikaaayup - my boyfriend is my park coach and i usually just get really pissed at him cause he's being an asshole about it lol but I mean its been effective somewhat.. I land things in spite of him I guess.
jaimegilfishMy ex boyfriend and his mum and dad actually taught me to ski... I think it helped having others around who were just as patient about it...
Definitely recommend showing her some "how to ski" you tube videos like the very very basics so she knows what she's getting into.
Then yeh see how she goes... some people pick it up so easy and get the basics down really well so they can like work on confidence and shit on their own for a day or so and Bf just does a few laps with her, I found this worked for me and the only other girl who I ski with.
Erikaaai second that youtube video idea
addie.personally, i fucking hate it when my SO tells me what to do. maybe that's just my strong personality, but i think a lot of other women feel the same way. it can get degrading to have a man like TEACH you how to do shit. i second the lesson idea.
jaimegilfishI tried dating a park instructor.... I definitely do not recommend if you like to keep your independence and sanity ...
girlscanshredas much as you gotta love a man in a uniform(that instructor jacket), you can't help but love the bad boy park rats that fucking slay in the park all day
TheSmokinLTru. Speaking from experience. First serious boyfriend - park crew and insane on features. His friends were the ones that taught me a lot bc he worked a ton, so features never took a toll on the relationship (but I've skied forever so that prob helped). But last guys - also rats. Just tall tees and wavy hair = happiness

girlscanshredthe wavy hair gets me every time. but that swag with baggy ski pants, full tilts, and short poles is so good too
jaimegilfishdamn instructor jackets get me wet .....
The frickin wavy hair and a cap with the sunnies on the brim when they not wearing them.... gets my everytime
